Opthalmics containing beclometasone are used to prevent eye problems. this type of medication is referred to as a 'preventer.' even if you do not appear to have symptoms, you must continue to take this type of medication on a regular basis.

How Beclometasone Opthalmic Works

Beclomethasone Opthalmic is a corticosteroid. It has an anti-inflammatory property where it works by reducing the number of mediator cells, eosinophils and fibroblast activity. It also has vasoconstrictor effects where it inhibits capillary dilation and permeability.

Nausea, Vomiting, Unpleasant taste, Nasal and throat dryness, Nasal and throat irritation, Sneezing, Epistaxis, Impaired wound healing

Alcohol Safe

It is probably safe to consume alcohol with Beclomethasone Opthalmic. Taking Beclomethasone Opthalmic with alcohol has no known interactions. However, please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Beclomethasone Opthalmic may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. The benefits from the use of Beclomethasone Opthalmic in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Limited Data
