The dosage will be determined by your medical condCardura XL 4mg Tabletion and how you react to the medication. Follow your doctor's recommendations for what is best for you. To obtain the best benefCardura XL 4mg Tablet from this medicine, you must take Cardura XL 4mg Tablet on a daily basis, even if you feel alright.
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
There could be certain side-effects associated with the usage of the medication. Please refer to the list below:-
Dizziness
Headache
Vertigo
Low blood pressure
Swelling of feet, ankle or fingers
Stomach pain
Urinary tract infection
Sleepiness
Dry mouth

Drug to drug interaction reaction of Cardura XL varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is not advisable to consume alcohol with Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s. Taking Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown reducing fetal survival, however, there are limited human studies to prove the safety of Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk which must need the opinion of the physician. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s may be unsafe to use during lactation. Approximately 20 times greater than the maternal plasma concentration of Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s will excrete in rat milk in an animal study. However, limited human data suggests that Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s does not represent a significant risk to the baby. Please consult your doctor.
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
Do not drive while taking this medication unless you are feeling well. Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Although renal impairment will not affect the pharmacokinetics of this drug, renal function need to be monitored to prevent an unwanted effects since Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s is not dialyzed. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Liver Warning (Limited Data)
Use of Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s is not recommended in patients with liver disease. In a clinical study among people with liver impairment, Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s will increase 43% of drug concentration in the blood plasma. This may lead to unwanted toxicity. Dose adjustment of Cardura XL 4mg Tablet 100s may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Quick Tips
It can produce a sharp reduction in blood pressure, especially when you initially start taking it. If you've been sitting or lying down, carefully stand to reduce the risk of feeling dizzy or passing out.
Alcohol should not be used while using it.
Dizziness and tiredness might occur while driving or doing anything else that requires focus.
If you are having cataract surgery, tell your doctor that you are taking it.
