Duro-Herb Chesty Cough Liquid

Duro-Herb Chesty Cough Liquid is a herbal oral liquid registered as a traditional medicine product in Malaysia, formulated with dried ivy leaf extract powder (Hedera Helix Leaves Extract Powder) as its single active herbal ingredient, together with potassium sorbate as a preservative. It is sold as an over-the-counter (OTC) product at Malaysian pharmacies, meaning it can be purchased without a doctor’s prescription, and is formulated to be free from added sugar and alcohol. It sits within the Duro-Herb range, which also includes a separate Dry Cough variant formulated with a different herbal ingredient, so the two should not be confused when purchasing.

The liquid is supplied in a 100ml bottle and is dosed according to age, with separate volumes set out for children aged 3 to 11 years and for those aged 12 years and above, including adults. As a single-ingredient ivy leaf herbal preparation, it differs from multi-ingredient cough formulations that combine several herbal or chemical components, and its exact registered formulation is set out on the printed pack insert. Multi-bottle packs are also sold by some retailers for households that keep this product on hand regularly.

• Shake the bottle gently before use if indicated on the label.
• Measure the dose using the cap or a proper oral measuring device.
• Children 3 to 11 years: take 10ml, 3 times daily.
• Adults and children 12 years and above: take 15ml, 4 times daily.
• Swallow the liquid directly; it does not need to be diluted before taking.

Use before the expiry date printed on the bottle and outer carton. Once opened, follow any in-use period stated on the pack insert; if none is stated, discard any unused liquid after the printed expiry date.

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use, and keep out of reach and sight of children.
