Hovid Famotidine 40mg Tablet must be taken whole with plenty of water, either before or after eating. The medication must be taken in the prescribed dosage and for the prescribed time as prescribed by the doctor. Within a few hours, this medication should provide relief from indigestion and heartburn. If the symptoms continue or worsen even after 14 days of therapy, you should see your doctor right once to get them under control. It is not advised to use this medication if you have serious gastrointestinal problems. It is possible to improve the effectiveness of your medication by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding spicy or greasy foods. It is generally well tolerated, with the most frequent adverse reactions being headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, diarrhoea, and constipation in around half of those using it. If you do have a negative effect, it is typically minor and will subside after you stop taking the medication or as your body becomes acclimated to it. If any of these side effects concern you or do not go away after a few days, see your doctor. Please inform your doctor if you have any renal or liver illness so that your doctor can prescribe a dosage that is appropriate for you before using this medication. In addition, inform your doctor if you are on any other prescription medicines. Quick Tips
It is a safe and well-tolerated medication with relatively few adverse effects. Take it as directed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food.
