Femoston Conti 1/5mg Tablet is a continuous combined hormone replacement therapy (HRT) containing estradiol 1mg (an estrogen) and dydrogesterone 5mg (a progestogen) in every tablet, used to relieve moderate to severe menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness, and to help prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis in women who are already at least one year past their last natural menstrual period.

• Known, past, or suspected breast cancer or other estrogen-dependent cancer

• Active or recent arterial thromboembolic disease such as stroke or heart attack
• Severe liver disease or abnormal liver function
• Known or suspected pregnancy or breastfeeding

• Enzyme-inducing medicines such as certain anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine) and rifampicin may reduce the effectiveness of estradiol
• St John’s Wort may reduce hormone levels and increase the risk of breakthrough bleeding
• Certain antifungal or antibiotic medicines may alter hormone metabolism; inform your doctor of all medicines you take
• Grapefruit juice may affect the metabolism of some hormone medicines and should be discussed with your doctor
