Tolterodine is an antimuscarinic agent which competitively inhibits muscarinic receptors in the bladder and prevent bladder contraction, decrease detrusor muscle pressure

Dry mouth, Dizziness, Sleepiness, Headache, Dry eyes, Visual disturbance, Abdominal pain, Altered bowel habit, Painful urination

Tolterodine Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

It is not advisable to consume alcohol and Tolterodine concomitantly as alcohol will accentuate the side effects of Tolterodine such as drowsiness and dizziness.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities but there are limited data from the use of Tolterodine in pregnant women. Thus, Tolterodine is not advisable to be used during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Limited Data

There are no data on the excretion of Tolterodine in human milk. Thus, Tolterodine is not advisable to be used during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Not advisable

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Tolterodine may cause side effects such as visual disturbance or delaying reaction time, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Use With Care

Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with kidney impairment. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Limited Data

Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with mild to moderate liver impairment. It is not advisable to be used in patients with severe liver impairment. Please consult your doctor.
