Blink Contacts Eye Drops

Blink Contacts Eye Drops is a sterile, buffered, isotonic, preserved eye drop formulated for contact lens wearers. It is intended for use with both soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses and rigid gas-permeable (RGP) contact lenses, and is sold in Malaysia as an over-the-counter (OTC) eye care product, available without a doctor’s prescription.

The formulation’s principal ingredient is sodium hyaluronate, together with electrolytes — sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, and magnesium chloride — boric acid, and purified water. It is preserved with a stabilized oxychloro complex at 0.005% (marketed as OcuPure® preservative), and contains no chlorhexidine, thimerosal, or other mercury-containing ingredient.

Blink Contacts Eye Drops can be applied with the lens already on the eye, or as a drop placed on the lens surface before it is inserted. It is supplied in sterile 2ml and 10ml plastic dropper bottles, with the lot number and expiry date printed on the bottle and carton.

• Wash and dry your hands before handling your contact lenses or this bottle.
• To rewet lenses during the day: with the lens on the eye, apply 1 to 2 drops to each eye as needed, or as directed by your eye care professional, then blink several times.
• For extra comfort before wearing: place 1 to 2 drops on each side of the lens before inserting it.
• Do not let the dropper tip touch your eye, fingers, or any other surface, and replace the cap tightly after each use.
• Do not use this product inside the lens case as a substitute for a proper lens-soaking or disinfecting solution.

Blink Contacts Eye Drops is a lubricant eye drop for contact lens wearers and does not have a systemic medicine dose. The usual amount is 1 to 2 drops in each eye as needed during the day, or 1 to 2 drops placed on the lens before insertion. There is no fixed maximum number of daily applications stated by the manufacturer, but if drops are needed very frequently to keep lenses comfortable, an eye care professional should be consulted.

Use Blink Contacts Eye Drops before the expiry date printed on the bottle and carton. Once opened, follow the discard-after-opening guidance printed on the pack, as a specific discard period for this product could not be independently confirmed for this listing.

Store at room temperature. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use, and do not use it if the tamper-evident neckband on the bottle is broken or missing. For in-eye use only; do not use inside the lens case. Keep out of the reach of children.

• Common: Temporary stinging, burning, or itching of the eyes after application.
• Common: Excessive watering (tearing), redness, dryness, or unusual secretions of the eyes.
• Common: Temporary blurred vision after instilling the drop.
• Serious: Reduced sharpness of vision, sensitivity to light (photophobia), or persistent eye pain, discharge, and redness, which may signal a corneal ulcer, infection, or other condition needing urgent professional attention.

• Known allergy or hypersensitivity to sodium hyaluronate, the electrolyte components, or any other ingredient in this product.
• Do not use if the contact lens appears damaged, or if the bottle’s tamper-evident neckband is broken or missing.
• Not for ingestion or injection; for external use on contact lenses and in the eyes only.

• Not applicable in the conventional sense – Blink Contacts Eye Drops is a topical eye care product with no established systemic drug or food interactions.
• Using multiple eye drops or lens care products at the same time is not recommended; space different products a few minutes apart, or check with a pharmacist first.

• Always wash and dry your hands before touching your lenses or this bottle.
• Never let the dropper tip touch your eye, skin, or any other surface, to avoid contaminating the solution.
• Do not share your bottle of Blink Contacts Eye Drops with anyone else.
• Replace the cap tightly immediately after every use.
• Keep this product separate from your lens case and disinfecting solution — it is not a substitute for either.
• Note the date you first open the bottle, and follow the discard-after-opening guidance printed on the pack.

Precautions: For use on contact lenses and in the eyes only; do not swallow. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Remove your lenses immediately if you notice stinging, redness, or reduced vision, and if the problem does not resolve, stop using all lens care products that contact the eye and consult your eye care professional. People who wear extended-wear lenses, and smokers who wear contact lenses, have been shown in studies to have a higher rate of serious eye reactions, and should have an eye check-up at least once a year or as advised.
