Wash your hands before use. Open a single vial just before use by twisting off the tab. Tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid, and squeeze 1-2 drops into each affected eye without letting the vial tip touch the eye or any other surface.

Each vial is for one application only — discard the vial and any leftover solution immediately after use, and do not attempt to reseal or reuse it later, as there is no preservative to keep an opened vial sterile. This drop is generally well tolerated by contact lens wearers, but remove lenses first if you experience any discomfort. If using other eye drops, space applications at least 5 minutes apart.

The typical adult dose is 1-2 drops instilled into the affected eye(s) as needed, which can be repeated several times a day depending on symptoms, since there is no preservative-related restriction on frequency. If your symptoms do not improve with regular use, or if you find yourself needing the drops very often throughout most of the day, stop self-treating and consult a doctor, optometrist, or pharmacist.

Use before the expiry date printed on the vial strip and outer carton. As this is a preservative-free single-dose formulation, each vial must be used immediately upon opening and any unused portion discarded — do not keep an opened vial for a later application, regardless of the product’s overall expiry date.

Store below 25-30°C (room temperature) in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep unopened vials in their original strip or carton until ready to use, and keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use a vial if the seal is already broken or the solution appears discoloured or contaminated.

• Common: mild, transient stinging or a temporary foreign-body sensation immediately after instilling the drop.
• Common: brief blurring of vision right after application, which usually clears within a minute.
• Serious: allergic reaction with eye redness, swelling, itching, or eyelid rash — stop use and seek medical advice if this occurs.
• Serious: persistent eye pain, worsening redness, or discharge continuing despite regular use — this needs prompt medical assessment.

• Known hypersensitivity to carboxymethylcellulose sodium or any other ingredient in the formulation.
• Do not use a vial with a broken seal, or solution that appears discoloured or contaminated.
• Not intended for use in eyes with a suspected active infection, penetrating injury, or shortly after eye surgery unless a doctor has specifically advised it is appropriate.

• As a topical, preservative-free eye drop with minimal systemic absorption, no clinically meaningful drug or food interactions are known for this product.
• If using other eye drops or ointments, space them at least 5 minutes apart from Refresh Plus so that one product does not dilute or wash out the effect of another.
• No specific food or beverage interactions are known.

• Carry a few vials in your bag or pocket so you always have a fresh, sterile dose on hand when needed.
• Because each vial is single-use, plan to use the whole vial for both eyes at once rather than saving part of it for later.
• Choose Refresh Plus over a preserved multi-dose bottle if you need to apply eye drops very often during the day, such as more than 4-6 times.
• Keep the vial strip in its box until just before use to protect the remaining vials from light and contamination.
• If you wear contact lenses, keep a strip at your desk for convenient top-ups during long screen sessions.
• If you notice you are going through many vials a day, mention this to your pharmacist, as it may be worth having your eyes properly assessed.

Precautions: Refresh Plus is for external, topical use in the eye only. It is generally suitable for use with contact lenses in place, though lenses should be removed first if any discomfort occurs. Pregnant or breastfeeding women can generally use this preservative-free topical lubricant, as systemic absorption is minimal, but should check with a pharmacist if concerned, and use in young children should be supervised by an adult. Vision may be briefly blurred after use, so wait until it clears before driving or operating machinery.
