How To Use Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip)

Some common side effects include headache, dizziness, increases in heart rate, and flushes. If you experience any symptoms, the doctor will recommend ways to avoid or minimizing them. Some may be prevented by taking painkillers, consuming lots of water, and avoiding alcohol. Drinking alcohol may affect the blood-pressure-lowering effects of this medication.

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

It is considered unsafe to consume alcohol with Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip). Taking Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip) with alcohol may have increased side effects such as dizziness, headache and confusion may worsen with alcohol intake.

Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)

Studies on animals have shown no adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are no adequate studies in pregnant women.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

There are limited data on usage of Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip) during lactation. It is not known if the active ingredient is also found in the milk. Therefore, usage in breastfeeding mothers are advised with care.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

(Do not drive unless you are feeling well.) Because Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip) may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, and confusion, it is advisable to not drive when taking this medication.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)

Although Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip) may be used in patients with renal impairment, please consult your doctor for dosage adjustment.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

It is advisable that Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip) be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip) may be needed therefore please consult your doctor.

Quick Tips

Always include having balanced diet (low-fat, high-fiber, low-sodium diet), avoid smoking, increase physical activity, manage weight and decrease stress.
May cause dizziness. Use Imdur 30mg Tablet PR with caution when driving or doing activities that require attention until you know how it affects you.
Do not drink alcohol while on Imdur 30mg Tablet PR as it may further affect your condition and cause dizziness.
After a few days of ongoing therapy, it might trigger headaches that normally goes off. If it remains, speak to a doctor.
You may develop tolerance with Imdur 30mg Tablet PR over time, which requires dosage modification. To prevent this, strictly follow the dosing regimen prescribed.
Avoid taking medications such as sildenafil or tadalafil (prescribed for erectile dysfunction) when taking Imdur 30mg Tablet PR, as it can affect blood pressure.

What If You Forget To Take

If you miss a dose of Imdur 30mg Tablet PR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

No, do not stop medication on your own. Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip) may cause headaches during the initial phase of treatment, and this may gradually become less severe and go away as you persist with your treatment. Inform your doctor if the headaches do not go away.

Are there any specific medications that I should avoid if I am on Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip)?

You should not take sildenafil if you are taking Imdur 30mg Tablet 15s (strip). Taking these two medicines together can cause an excessive fall in blood pressure, which may even be life-threatening.
