Neilmed Sinus Rinse Regular Kit

The NeilMed Sinus Rinse Regular Kit is a drug-free nasal irrigation system that pairs the reusable 240 mL squeeze bottle with a larger supply of 60 pre-mixed saline packets containing USP-grade sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate. It is intended for people who already understand nasal irrigation technique and want a longer-lasting supply for regular use, rather than a small trial pack.

It is suitable for both adults and children old enough to follow instructions under adult supervision. Like other saline rinse kits, it contains no medication, preservatives, or artificial additives and is sold over the counter.

The Regular Kit works through isotonic saline irrigation. Dissolving a saline packet in the correct volume of lukewarm water produces a solution similar in salt concentration to the body’s own tissue fluid, so it does not sting or irritate the nasal lining. Squeezing the bottle drives this solution through the nasal passages, mechanically carrying mucus and other particles out through the nostrils.

Wash your hands before use. Fill the bottle to the marked line with lukewarm distilled, sterile, or previously boiled and cooled water, add one saline packet, close the bottle, and shake gently until fully dissolved. Lean over a sink with your head tilted forward and down, place the nozzle just inside one nostril, keep your mouth open and breathe normally, then gently squeeze the bottle to let the solution flow through that nostril and out of the other side (or back out of the same nostril). Repeat for the other nostril, then blow your nose gently to clear any remaining solution. Rinse and air-dry the bottle and nozzle after every use.

Typically, one packet (about 2.7 g) is dissolved in 240 mL of lukewarm distilled, sterile, or previously boiled and cooled water for a full-bottle rinse, used once or twice daily, or as advised by a doctor or pharmacist. Frequency may be adjusted for a few days as advised and reduced afterwards for routine use.

Do not use the saline packets or assembled kit beyond the expiry date printed on the packaging. Prepared rinse solution should be used promptly and any unused portion discarded rather than stored.

Keep unopened saline packets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture as stated on the packaging. Ensure the bottle and nozzle are cleaned and fully dried between uses, and replace the bottle if it becomes cracked, discoloured, or difficult to clean thoroughly.

• Common: Mild nasal stinging or burning, particularly during the first few rinses.
• Common: Sneezing or a temporary runny sensation immediately after use.
• Common: Mild, short-lived ear pressure or fullness if technique is not quite right.
• Serious: Nosebleed, persistent ear pain, or signs of a new nasal or sinus infection developing after use, which should be checked by a doctor or pharmacist.

• Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to any component of the saline formulation.
• Do not use with untreated tap water or water that has not been distilled, sterile, or boiled and cooled first.
• Do not use a cracked or damaged bottle, or share a bottle between different users.

• No clinically significant drug interactions are known, as the isotonic saline solution is not absorbed systemically in a way that affects other medicines.
• If using a medicated nasal spray alongside this rinse, it is generally best to rinse first and apply the medicated spray afterwards so it is not immediately washed away; check with your pharmacist for guidance specific to your medicine.
• No food interactions are known with this product.

• Only use distilled, sterile, or previously boiled and cooled water for mixing.
• Lean forward over a sink and keep your mouth open while rinsing to avoid swallowing solution.
• Clean and air-dry the bottle and nozzle after every single rinse.
• Never share your bottle with another family member, even during a shared illness.
• Keep a consistent daily routine for the best results.
• Check with your doctor before starting irrigation if you have had recent nasal or sinus surgery.

Precautions: This kit is for nasal and sinus irrigation only and must not be swallowed deliberately or used in the eyes. People with a history of frequent nosebleeds, recent nasal or sinus surgery, or structural abnormalities of the nose should seek medical advice before use, and children should always be supervised by an adult.
