Condoms such as Okamoto Crown Condom are the only birth control method that can prevent sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV, chlamydia, and gonorrhoea. Even if you're already using another method of birth control to prevent pregnancy, it is recommended to use condoms to protect yourself against STDs especially if you are engaging in high-risk sexual behaviour.
Condoms are easily obtainable at a number of different locations, including convenience shops, community health clinics, Planned Parenthood health centres, and online. You do not need a prescription or identification to get them, and they are reasonably priced (or sometimes even free). Condoms are a compact, discrete, and portable method of providing effective protection against pregnancy and STDs.
The majority of people can use condoms without issue - there are no known adverse effects. Occasionally, latex (rubber) condoms might irritate those who are allergic or sensitive towards latex.
