Pregnancy Warning(Not Safe)
Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities and prolonged severe hypoglycaemia has been reported in newborns to mother receiving Ranbaxy Remicron MR 30mg Tablet 10s (strip) at time of delivery. Thus, it is contraindicated during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding Warning(Not Advisable)
There are no data on the effect of Ranbaxy Remicron MR 30mg Tablet 10s (strip) upon breastfed babies. Thus, Ranbaxy Remicron MR 30mg Tablet 10s (strip) is contraindicated during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)

How To Use Ranbaxy Remicron MR 30mg Tablet 10s (strip)
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Precautionary Steps of Ranbaxy Remicron MR 30mg Tablet 10s (strip)
Please consult a doctor especially before taking Remicron. If you have any of the following conditions & contraindications:-
Allergy to Remicron or any of its components
Hypersensitivity to gliclazide, other sulfonylureas or sulfonamides
Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
Diabetic ketoacidosis
Diabetic pre-coma and coma
Concomitant use with miconazole
Severe renal and hepatic impairment
Patients with G6PD - treatment may cause hemolytic anemia
Pregnancy
Breastfeeding

A disulfiram-like reaction may occur if alcohol is taken with this medication. It is a reaction that is extremely uncomfortable and characterised by severe flushing and may be accompanied by other symptoms such as a fast heartbeat and low blood pressure.

Quick Tips
Remicron MR 30mg Tablet is best taken before or with the first meal (usually breakfast).
Do not skip your meals as it may further affect your condition.
Get daily exercise, eat a balanced diet, and take your other medications (if prescribed).
Regular monitoring of blood sugar level is advised while on Remicron MR 30mg Tablet.
Use Remicron MR 30mg Tablet with caution when driving or doing activities that requires attention until you know it affects you.
If you use other similar medication, alcohol, or if you are delaying or miss a meal, you can induce hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level).
Do take sugar or fruit juice with you in the condition of hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor and anxiety.
Your doctor will periodically review the function of your liver.
Notify your doctor if you have symptoms, including stomach pain, appetite loss or eye or skin yellowing (jaundice).
