Duopharma Aqua Cream

Duopharma Aqua Cream is a fragrance-free, non-medicated moisturizing emollient cream based on the classic aqueous cream formula, containing white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin, and emulsifying wax in a water base. It is a cosmetic-class moisturizer, not a medicine, and can be used both as a general daily moisturizer and as a soap substitute for cleansing the skin. It is sold in a 500g tub suitable for whole-body, everyday use.

Duopharma Aqua Cream is fragrance-free and formulated to be gentle. It works purely as an emollient barrier product and does not contain any active pharmaceutical ingredient.

Duopharma Aqua Cream works as an emollient: its paraffin-based oils coat the surface of the skin and fill in the gaps between dry, flaking skin cells, forming a thin occlusive film that reduces water loss (transepidermal water loss) from the skin. This helps the skin retain its own moisture and softens the texture of the skin’s outer layer.

Smooth a generous amount of Duopharma Aqua Cream onto clean, dry skin and massage gently until absorbed; apply after bathing or showering, while the skin is still slightly damp, for best moisture retention. To use as a soap substitute, apply to wet skin, gently work into a light lather, and rinse off with water. For first-time use or sensitive skin, patch-test on a small area first.

Not applicable — Duopharma Aqua Cream is for external, topical use only and is not taken by mouth. As a general guide, apply a generous amount to the skin, or use as a soap substitute, 2 to 3 times a day or as often as needed to keep the skin comfortable.

Use before the expiry date printed on the tub. As with most aqueous-based emollient creams, once opened it is generally best used within about 6 to 12 months, but always check the specific period-after-opening symbol and expiry date on the packaging.

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the tub tightly closed after use to prevent contamination and drying out, and keep out of reach of children.

• Serious: allergic contact reaction such as redness, itching, swelling, or a rash that spreads beyond the area of application — stop use and seek medical advice.

• Use with caution on broken, weeping, or infected skin — check with a pharmacist first.
• Avoid contact with the eyes.

• No drug or food interactions are known or expected for this topical emollient, since it is not systemically absorbed and is not taken by mouth.
• If used together with prescribed topical medicines on the same area, apply the medicated product first (as directed by your doctor or pharmacist) and this emollient afterwards, or space the applications apart, so the emollient does not dilute the medicine’s effect.

• It can be used as a soap substitute for cleansing.
• Keep a small tub at the office or in your bag for reapplication during the day.
• Patch-test a small area first if you have very sensitive skin or a history of allergies.
• Avoid double-dipping fingers into a shared tub to reduce contamination — use a clean spatula or spoon if sharing.
• Reapply as often as needed; there is no maximum daily limit for this fragrance-free emollient.

Use with caution on broken, weeping, or clearly infected skin, and avoid the eyes. Pregnant or breastfeeding women and parents of infants may generally use it, but should check with a pharmacist if unsure.

When to See a Doctor or Pharmacist: See a doctor or pharmacist if the skin becomes more inflamed, cracked, or weeping, or if you notice signs of infection such as increasing redness, warmth, or pus.
