Wellness Plus Pack

The Wellness Plus Pack is a DoctorOnCall bundle (pack size: 1s) that brings together three separate products named on the DoctorOnCall pack page: Minoxidil 5% topical solution, JH Nutrition Omega 3 Fish Oil softgels and JH Nutrition Enersure (Vanilla) nutritional powder. Minoxidil 5% is a topical hair-loss medicine applied to the scalp for hereditary (pattern) hair loss. It is for external use on the scalp only and must never be taken by mouth. DoctorOnCall’s standalone minoxidil 5% listing, Jewim Minoxidil 5% Topical Solution (60ml), contains minoxidil 5% w/v in a base of alcohol (ethanol), propylene glycol and purified water, and is applied as 1ml to the thinning area of the scalp twice daily. Visible results usually take at least 4 months of consistent use, and any regrowth is generally not maintained once use is stopped.

JH Nutrition Omega 3 Fish Oil is a fish oil supplement; the version sold on DoctorOnCall comes as 1000mg softgels and provides the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which are natural components of cell membranes in the heart, brain and eyes. JH Nutrition Enersure (Vanilla) is a vanilla-flavoured complete nutrition powder that DoctorOnCall describes as containing whey protein isolate, oat fibre, inulin, omega-3 fatty acids and 26 vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins, vitamin D, magnesium, zinc and the antioxidant vitamins C and E. The pack page does not state the exact size or count of each component, so please check the labels of the items in your pack for strengths, serving sizes and quantities.

Use each product separately, following its own label:

• Minoxidil 5% topical solution: make sure the scalp and hair are dry. Apply 1ml using the dropper or applicator provided directly onto the thinning area of the scalp and spread it evenly with your fingertips. Wash your hands after applying. Apply only to the scalp, never to other parts of the body, and do not apply to irritated, sunburnt or broken skin.
• JH Nutrition Omega 3 Fish Oil: swallow the softgels whole with water, preferably with a meal for better absorption, at the serving stated on the JH Nutrition label.
• JH Nutrition Enersure (Vanilla): DoctorOnCall’s Enersure listing gives one serving (approximately 50g) mixed with 200–250ml of water or milk, taken once daily. The pack page refers to mixing one sachet, so follow the serving size printed on the Enersure packaging you receive.

• Minoxidil 5% (adult men): 1ml applied to the affected scalp area twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening, about 12 hours apart. Do not use more than 2ml a day or apply more often, as this does not speed up results and may increase side effects. If you miss an application, simply continue with the next one; do not double up.
• JH Nutrition Omega 3 Fish Oil: take the number of softgels recommended on the product label. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
• JH Nutrition Enersure (Vanilla): one serving once daily, or as advised by your doctor, pharmacist or dietitian. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving.
• This pack is intended for adults. Do not use the minoxidil solution in anyone under 18 years old without medical advice.

Each product in the pack has its own expiry date. Refer to the expiry date printed on the packaging of each item, and do not use any product after its expiry date. Once Enersure is opened, keep it tightly sealed and follow any use-by guidance on its label.

• Minoxidil 5% topical solution: store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The solution contains alcohol and is flammable, so keep it away from open flames and do not smoke while applying it.
• JH Nutrition Omega 3 Fish Oil: store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight with the container tightly closed, unless the label states otherwise.
• JH Nutrition Enersure (Vanilla): store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and keep tightly sealed. Do not refrigerate the powder.
• Keep all products out of the reach of children.

• Common (Minoxidil 5%): scalp itching, dryness, flaking, redness or a burning sensation at the application site.
• Common (Minoxidil 5%): a temporary increase in hair shedding during the first weeks of use, as old hairs are replaced by new growth.
• Common (Minoxidil 5%): unwanted hair growth on the forehead or face if the solution spreads beyond the scalp.
• Common (Omega 3 Fish Oil): fishy aftertaste, bad breath, burping, heartburn, nausea, stomach discomfort or loose stools.
• Common (Enersure): mild bloating or wind, particularly if you are not used to a higher fibre intake.
• Serious (Minoxidil 5%): chest pain, a fast or irregular heartbeat, dizziness or faintness, sudden unexplained weight gain, swelling of the hands, ankles or face, or difficulty breathing. Stop using it and seek medical attention promptly.
• Serious (any component): allergic reactions such as rash, hives, swelling of the face, lips or tongue, or difficulty breathing (for example, in people allergic to fish, milk/whey or propylene glycol). Seek emergency care.

• Minoxidil 5%: do not use if you are allergic to minoxidil, propylene glycol or alcohol (ethanol).
• Minoxidil 5%: do not apply to a scalp that is irritated, sunburnt, cut, infected or otherwise not intact.
• Minoxidil 5%: do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, due to possible absorption through the skin.
• Minoxidil 5%: not for use in people under 18 years old without medical advice; the 5% strength is generally not recommended for women unless a doctor advises it.
• Minoxidil 5%: do not use for sudden, patchy or unexplained hair loss, hair loss with no family history, or hair loss after childbirth or due to another medical condition or medicine, unless a doctor has assessed it.
