Overview

Neilmed Sinus Rinse Kids Kit Premixed is supplied as a healthcare product, with materials and components.

No prescription is required for this product, as it is an over-the-counter (OTC) medicine. This page is limited to product, safety and handling information.

If you would like guidance before buying, you can speak to a doctor or pharmacist through an online consultation on DoctorOnCall. Orders are dispensed by a registered pharmacist and delivered to your address.

Directions for Use

Wash your child’s and your own hands before use. Fill the Kids Kit bottle to the marked line with lukewarm distilled, sterile, or previously boiled and cooled water, empty one sachet into the bottle, close it, and shake gently until dissolved. Have your child lean forward over a sink with their head tilted down, place the nozzle just inside one nostril, keep their mouth open and breathing normally, and gently squeeze the bottle so the solution flows through and out of the other nostril (or back out of the same side). Repeat on the other side, then have your child gently blow their nose. Rinse and air-dry the bottle after every use.

Dosage

One sachet is typically dissolved in 120 mL of lukewarm distilled, sterile, or previously boiled and cooled water to fill the Kids Kit bottle, used once or twice daily, or as advised by a doctor or pharmacist. Frequency can be adjusted for a few days as advised and reduced afterwards.

Shelf Life

Do not use the sachets or assembled kit beyond the expiry date printed on the packaging. Once a sachet is mixed with water, use the solution promptly and discard any unused portion rather than storing it for later.

Storage Instructions

Store unopened sachets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture, as stated on the packaging, and out of reach of very young children who are not the intended user. Keep the bottle and nozzle clean and fully dried between uses, and replace the bottle if it becomes cracked, discoloured, or hard to clean.

Side Effects

  • Common: Mild nasal stinging or a burning sensation, particularly with the first few uses.
  • Common: Sneezing or a temporary runny sensation right after rinsing.
  • Common: Mild, short-lived ear pressure or fullness if technique or head position is not quite correct.
  • Serious: Nosebleed, persistent ear pain, or signs of a new nasal or sinus infection developing after use, which should be checked by a doctor or pharmacist.

Contraindications

  • Do not use in children younger than the age recommended on the packaging without first checking with a paediatrician.
  • Do not use if the child has a known hypersensitivity to any component of the saline formulation.
  • Do not use with untreated tap water or water that has not been distilled, sterile, or boiled and cooled first.

Drug / Food Interactions

  • No clinically significant drug interactions are known, as the isotonic saline solution is not absorbed systemically in a way that affects other medicines.
  • If your child also uses a medicated nasal spray, it is generally best to rinse first and apply the medicated spray afterwards so it is not immediately washed away; check with a pharmacist for guidance specific to your child’s medicine.
  • No food interactions are known with this product.

Quick Tips

  • Only use distilled, sterile, or previously boiled and cooled water to mix each sachet.
  • Always supervise your child during the rinse, especially the first few times.
  • Lean your child forward over a sink with their mouth open to avoid the solution being swallowed.
  • Wash and air-dry the bottle and nozzle after every single use.
  • Use a separate bottle for each child rather than sharing between siblings.
  • Turn the rinse into a calm, unhurried routine so your child is comfortable with the technique.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Neilmed Sinus Rinse Kids Kit Premixed is an over-the-counter (OTC) product and can be ordered without a prescription. It is still dispensed by a registered pharmacist on DoctorOnCall.

What does Neilmed Sinus Rinse Kids Kit Premixed contain?

Can I speak to a doctor or pharmacist about Neilmed Sinus Rinse Kids Kit Premixed before I buy it?

How long will delivery take?

Within Malaysia, standard delivery takes 3 to 5 working days. Same-day delivery is available in the Klang Valley for orders placed before 12pm; orders placed after 12pm arrive by the end of the next day.

Orders to Singapore are sent as international deliveries and take 5 to 9 working days. A lump-sum shipping and handling fee applies to every overseas delivery and is shown at checkout.

What payment methods can I use?

Customers in Malaysia can pay by FPX online banking, credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard), and supported e-wallets including Touch ‘n Go eWallet, GrabPay and ShopeePay.

FPX and local e-wallets are tied to Malaysian bank and wallet accounts, so if your delivery address is in Singapore, use the payment options displayed at checkout for that address rather than assuming the same list applies.

Can Neilmed Sinus Rinse Kids Kit Premixed be delivered to Singapore?

Yes. DoctorOnCall ships to Singapore as an international order dispatched from Malaysia, arriving in 5 to 9 working days with a lump-sum shipping and handling fee.

Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority (HSA) allows personal imports of up to three months’ supply of a medicine for your own use or an immediate family member’s, as long as it contains no controlled drugs, psychotropic substances or prohibited items. Keep the product in its original labelled packaging and keep a copy of your prescription or doctor’s letter with it. Quantities above three months’ supply, and medicines containing controlled substances, require prior HSA approval.

Is Neilmed Sinus Rinse Kids Kit Premixed registered with the authorities?

Products listed on DoctorOnCall are registered with Malaysia’s Ministry of Health for supply in Malaysia, and each pack carries its MAL registration number.

An order delivered to Singapore arrives as a personal import of a Malaysia-registered product; HSA product registration is not required for personal-use quantities, but it is also not the same as a product registered for sale in Singapore. If you need a locally registered Singapore product, buy it from a pharmacy in Singapore.

Who do I contact if there is a problem with my order?

DoctorOnCall’s customer care team handles order, delivery and product queries through the contact channels on the site, including WhatsApp and the online help centre.

For deliveries to Singapore, allow more time before chasing an order than you would for a local Malaysian delivery, as the parcel passes through customs clearance and tracking updates can appear later in the journey.
