How To Use Cafergot Tablet

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Cafergot Tablet. Taking Cafergot Tablet with alcohol may mask the depressant effect of alcohol and cause an increased intake of alcohol. There is no known interaction between Cafergot Tablet with alcohol.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe - High Risk)
Cafergot Tablet may be safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have failed to show adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. Please consult your doctor. Cafergot Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy. Both animal and human studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. This medicine is strictly prohibited in pregnancy. Use of Cafergot Tablet should be started only after pregnancy has been excluded.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)
Cafergot Tablet must be used with caution during lactation. Limited human data suggests that it does not represent a significant risk to the baby. Please consult your doctor. Cafergot Tablet is shown to be excreted in breast milk. It is not advisable for women to breastfeed while consuming Cafergot Tablet because of its potential adverse drug effects on infants.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
Cafergot Tablet usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Cafergot Tablet may cause side effects such as sedation which could affect the ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Warning (High Risk)
Cafergot Tablet is safe for patients with renal disease. Cafergot Tablet is contraindicated in patients with renal impairment. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)
Cafergot Tablet is safe for patients with liver disease. Cafergot Tablet is contraindicated in patients with hepatic impairment. Please consult your doctor.
  • Cafergot Tablet should be taken according to the recommended dosage and duration as it depends on your condition.
  • Take Cafergot Tablet regularly at the same time everyday as advised.
  • May cause dizziness and headaches. Use Cafergot Tablet with caution when driving or doing activities that require attention until you know it affects you.
  • Do not drink alcohol while taking Cafergot Tablet as it may further affect your condition and increase sleepiness.
  • Notify your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease.
  • Do not abruptly stop Cafergot Tablet without consulting your doctor.
  • Notify your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
  • To avoid nausea and vomiting caused by your condition, eat simple meals and avoid fatty or spicy foods.
  • Notify your doctor if you're taking any pain relievers.
  • Cafergot Tablet can only reduce the number and severity of attacks, but it may not be enough to prevent them entirely.
  • Here are some suggestions to help you improve your condition :
  • Every day, eat your meals at the same time.
  • Excessive heat and bright lights should be avoided.
  • Loud music and crowded places should be avoided.
  • Chocolates, cheese, processed foods, alcohol, and smoking should all be avoided.
  • Get enough sleep and stay away from stressful situations.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
