MDI Budesonide is made from the following ingredient:-
  1. Budesonide 
The outcome resulted from taking MDI Budesonide are subjected to the intention of using it and the appropriate dosage of the medication consumed. The drug should be strictly taken as per prescribed dosage by the doctor.

This medication only can obtain through doctor’s prescription. There are a few generic variants available as well. The drug is considered as inexpensive by popular opinion. Please check the expiry date and prescription details mentioned on the label of the inhaler. 
How to use MDI Budesonide? 
  • Shake your inhaler well for 5 seconds
  • For new inhaler, always press a test spray away from you. 
  • Release a second test spray after 5 seconds. 
  • Breath out fully, hold the inhaler on the mouth and close your lips around it.
  • Breath in slowly and deeply. At the same time, press down the inhaler to release the medicine. 
  • Continue breathing and hold your breath for 10 seconds or for as long as you can. 
  • Repeat the process after 1 minute if you need another puff.  

  • Patients with kidney problems and liver disease need to consult with a doctor before consuming MDI Budesonide. 
  • The dosage should be taken as advised by the doctor. Keep enough gap between two dosages.
  • The time taken for this drug to show its effect is subjected to changes based on the intended use and dosage of medicine consumed.

General advice for MDI Budesonide:
  • Do not give this medication to someone you feel has a similar symptoms. Similarly, do not consume this medication on the advice from a friend or family.

MDI Budesonide Drug Interactions

Drug to drug interaction reaction of MDI Budesonide varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.
  • CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole)
  • CYP3A4 inducers (e.g. carbamazepine). 
  • grapefruit juice.

Pregnancy Warning (C)
Animal studies have shown that Budesonide 200mcg CFC Free Inhaler is harmful at high exposures. However, there is no data on the usage of Budesonide 200mcg CFC Free Inhaler in pregnancy and its adverse effects or risks to the fetus. It should only be used if the benefits outweigh the risk.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
There is limited data on whether there is a risk to the baby when using Budesonide 200mcg CFC Free Inhaler during breastfeeding. However, Budesonide 200mcg CFC Free Inhaler is excreted in breast milk thus it is advisable to avoid its usage unless the benefits exceed the risks.

Driving Warning (Safe)
Budesonide 200mcg CFC Free Inhaler usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Budesonide 200mcg CFC Free Inhaler should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment, dose adjustment must be exercised.

Liver Warning (Limited information)
It should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. It is important to adjust the dose before administration and continue to monitor the patient.

1. I missed a dose of MDI Budesonide. What should I do?

If you have missed a dose by chance, try to consume it as soon as possible when you notice. If the time to your next dosage is close, simply skip the medicine. In such cases, try to not double the dosage.
