The active ingredients in Duodart 0.5 mg/0.4 mg Capsule are dutasteride and tamsulosin. Dutasteride belongs to a group of drugs known as 5- alpha reductase inhibitors and tamsulosin belongs to a known drug group as an alpha blocker. This medication is not intended for women. There are 30 capsules in each box.
How To Use Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s
This medicine is for oral use only. Duodart must always be taken with a full glass of water, 30 minutes before or after a meal. It should never be consumed without food. It should ideally be taken at the same time each day (this means with the same meal). The capsules should not be chewed or opened, as contact with the capsule contents may cause irritation of the oropharyngeal mucosa. Use it as directed on the label or as advised by your healthcare provider.

Duodart Drug Interactions
Duodart interaction varies from person to person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interaction before starting the medicine.
Clarithromycin
Isoniazid
Ketoconazole
Atazanavir
Imatinib
This is a non-exhaustive list of drug interactions and conditions that might interfere with Duodart. Before taking this drug, inform your doctor about all your present medications.
Keep the following precautions in mind as well:-
Measure blood pressure before any dosage increment.
Monitor for urinary retention
Hypotension can occur
Erection abnormalities
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to it
Tell your doctor if you have any other disease or if you are taking other medicines
Do not discontinue the prescribed course
Alcohol Warning(Not Advisable) It is not advisable to use Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s with alcohol because alcohol may dehydrate and cause difficult urination. The symptoms may also get worse thus, it is recommended to avoid or limit alcohol while taking Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s. There are few studies which reported that alcohol can affect prostate cancer prevention in patients taking Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s or other α-reductase inhibitors.It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s. It may worsen the side effects of Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s such as headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and palpitations.
Pregnancy Warning(Not Safe - High Risk) When Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s is given to a pregnant woman with a male fetus, it will inhibit the development of external genitalia of the fetus. Small amounts of Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s have been found from the semen in subjects taking them, though it is unknown whether a male fetus can be affected if his mother is exposed to such semen.Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s is likely to be safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies do not show any side effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor for more details.
Breastfeeding Warning(Limited Data) It remains unknown whether Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s is excreted in human breast milk. But it is contraindicated in women of child-bearing potentialNo reports on the safety of usage Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s during human lactation are available yet. This drug is not indicated for women.
Driving Warning(Generally Safe) Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.There are no studies on the effect of Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s on the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Warning(Use With Care) There is limited data on the usage of Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s in patients with renal impairment. However, dosage adjustment is not expected for such patients.Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s is relatively safe for patients with renal impairment. However, there are no reports available on the safety of Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s for patients with nephropathy. Thus, please consult your doctor for more details.
Liver Warning(Limited Data) In patients with mild to moderate liver impairment, it is important to use Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s with caution. It should be avoided at all cost in patients with severe liver disease.Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed. However, severe hepatic impairment is one of the contraindications of Duodart 0.5mg/0.4mg Capsule 30s. Please consult your doctor for confirmation.
It should not be taken my women and child. It may take three to six months to be fully effective. As a result, follow your doctor's advise while taking the medication.Generally it is well tolerated. However, it may have certain negative effects, such as decrease in sexual desire. Do not donate blood after six months of taking the last dosage of this medication.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

The Customer shall examine the Product(s) immediately upon receiving for any deficiencies and/or damages.
Should the Customer meet the criteria of Clause 1 of the return and/or exchange criteria stated above, the Customer will need to contact our customer service via WhatsApp +60 17-972 2669 within one (1) day of receiving the product. DoctorOnCall reserves the right to reject the request for return and/ or exchange if not notified by the Customer within one (1) day of receiving the product.
The Customer will be contacted by DoctorOnCall within one (1) day of request for return and/ or exchange to inform the Customer of the return and/ or exchange process.
Upon approval of the Return and/ or Exchange request, the Customer is to deliver the affected Product back to the address of the vendor as stated on the parcel received
The affected Products MUST be returned in its new, unused, original condition, with quantity and packaging delivered to Customer.
For rehab products, wheelchairs, electronic products, and medical devices, all products must be returned in its original packaging with cables, accessories, and documentation including manuals and warranty card intact.
Failure to return the Product as described in clause 6 and 7 will result in a cancellation of the return and/ or exchange request, and any fees incurred in delivering the package back to the Customer will be borne by the Customer
The return of a Product by a Customer does not automatically warrant for an exchange or refund. DoctorOnCall will inspect the returned Products upon receipt of the same. If the conditions in clause No. 6 and 7 of this Return and/ or Exchange Policy have been fulfilled, refunds/ exchanges will be made to the Customer, and the Customer will be reimbursed by DoctorOnCall for any courier charges incurred in returning of the Products. A courier payment slip is to be furnished to DoctorOnCall for the purpose of reimbursement.
All replacements or exchange of Products shall be effected subject to stock availability. If a Product which was ordered and invoiced is not included in the delivery, DoctorOnCall shall either refund the Customer the value of that Product, or replace the ordered Product.
If any Product which was not included in the Customer's Order is delivered to the Customer, DoctorOnCall shall collect the Product from the Customer. If a Customer is charged more than the value of a Product as displayed on the site when the Customer makes its Order, DoctorOnCall shall refund to the Customer the difference.
All refunds will be made via the same mode of payment within 2 months. Customer's receipt of the refund will depend on the period of time the selected financial institution takes to finalise the refund. DoctorOnCall shall not be liable with respect to any loss, damage, cost or expense that the Customer or any person may incur as a result of any delay in the financial institution processing of the said refund.
