How To Use Exforge 10/160mg Tablet

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Exforge 10/160mg Tablet. Taking Exforge 10/160mg Tablet with alcohol may worsen the side effects of Exforge 10/160mg Tablet such as headache, dizziness and visual disturbance. Furthermore, Exforge 10/160mg Tablet is metabolised in the liver and alcohol consumption leads to a risk of liver damage.It is not advisable to take alcohol with Exforge 10/160mg Tablet as it would worsen the adverse reactions such as dizziness, headache, and nausea.

Pregnancy Warning (D)
Exforge 10/160mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits of using Exforge 10/160mg Tablet among pregnant women outweigh the risks. Please consult your doctor. Exforge 10/160mg Tablet is likely to be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Studies have shown positive evidence of human fetal risk. However, in certain conditions, the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
Exforge 10/160mg Tablet is reported to be excreted into breast milk. However, the effect of the exposure towards the babies remains unknown. There is also stated that no side effects were reported with the exposure. Please consult your doctor for further details. Limited human data suggests that Exforge 10/160mg Tablet does not represent a significant risk to the baby. It is not recommended during lactation as there are better drugs with established safety efficacy during nursing.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Exforge 10/160mg Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness headache, tiredness or nausea, all of which could affect the ability to concentrate and drive.Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Exforge 10/160mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Exforge 10/160mg Tablet is mostly excreted via urine. Thus, dose adjustment of Exforge 10/160mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Exforge 10/160mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Exforge 10/160mg Tablet may affect the efficiency of renal function. In particular conditions such as renal artery stenosis, Exforge 10/160mg Tablet is contraindicated to be used. Thus, the dose adjustment of Exforge 10/160mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)
The liver disease should use Exforge 10/160mg Tablet with caution. It is extensively metabolised in the liver. Extensive use of Exforge 10/160mg Tablet also increases the liver enzyme. Dose adjustment of Exforge 10/160mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Exforge 10/160mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Exforge 10/160mg Tablet may be needed for mild and moderate hepatic impairment. Severe liver disease is one of the contraindications for prescription of Exforge 10/160mg Tablet. Please consult your doctor.

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
