The top layer, which comes into contact with the skin or bedding, is generally a soft non-woven material that allows liquid to pass through quickly rather than pooling on the surface. Beneath this sits an absorbent core, typically containing fluff pulp and/or super-absorbent polymer (SAP), which is designed to absorb and lock in fluid so that it does not easily flow back out or feel wet to the touch. The bottom layer is a waterproof or leak-resistant barrier intended to stop moisture from passing through to the mattress, chair or other surface underneath. Together, these layers work to keep the surface dry while helping to reduce prolonged skin contact with moisture.

Unfold the underpad fully and place it on the mattress, bed, chair or other surface with the soft, absorbent (non-woven) side facing upwards, smoothing it flat and, where possible, tucking it under the edges of the mattress or seating to help keep it in place. This underpad is intended for single use only; after use, fold the soiled side inward, dispose of it appropriately in accordance with local waste disposal guidance, and replace it with a fresh underpad for the next use. Wash your hands after handling a used underpad.

There is no dosage for this product, as it is a disposable hygiene item rather than a medicine. As a general guide, use one underpad per change, and replace it with a fresh underpad whenever it becomes wet or soiled, or at the end of each use, rather than reusing a single pad multiple times.

Use the product before the expiry date stated on the packaging, where applicable. Unopened underpads generally have a long shelf life when stored correctly, but the packaging should always be checked for manufacturer date information.
