Wellmex Atomic Enema Children

Wellmex Atomic Enema Children is an over-the-counter rectal preparation formulated for young children, supplied as a pack of 10 single-use 10ml units, each containing glycerin as the active ingredient. It is designed as a pre-filled, single-use applicator for rectal administration.

As an OTC product, it is registered for sale in Malaysia without a doctor’s prescription. It belongs to the glycerin-based enema category, which is generally considered a gentler option compared with saline-phosphate enemas, and is formulated at a smaller 10ml volume suited to a child’s size.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap before and after use. Remove the protective cap. You may use a disposable glove and, if needed, lubricate the tip with a small amount of the enema liquid. Gently insert the nozzle into the child’s rectum, approximately 3cm, and squeeze the tube gently until the solution is emptied.

Children aged 2 years and above: 1 unit (10ml) inserted rectally as a single dose, as needed. Do not exceed the recommended dose or use more than once in 24 hours without medical advice. Not intended for children under 2 years unless directed by a doctor.

Use before the expiry date printed on the unit and carton. Each unit is for single use only and should be discarded after use.

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the units in their original packaging until ready to use, and keep out of reach and sight of children when not in use.

• Known hypersensitivity to glycerin or any other ingredient in the formulation.
• Suspected bowel obstruction, undiagnosed abdominal pain, or active rectal bleeding.
• Not recommended for children under 2 years unless specifically directed by a doctor.

• Frequent use together with other laxatives or bowel-cleansing products in children should only be under medical guidance, to avoid excessive bowel stimulation.
• No clinically significant drug interactions are expected with occasional correct use of a glycerin-based rectal enema.
• Not applicable for food interactions, as this is a rectally administered product.
