Overview

Zanidip 10mg Tablet contains lercanidipine, a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults.

Lercanidipine works by relaxing the smooth muscle in blood vessel walls, causing the blood vessels to widen, which lowers blood pressure and reduces the workload on the heart.

How it Works

Zanidip blocks calcium from entering the smooth muscle cells of blood vessel walls, preventing the muscle contraction that narrows blood vessels. This causes blood vessels to relax and widen, reducing resistance to blood flow and lowering blood pressure.

Directions for Use

Take the tablet once daily, preferably at the same time each day, at least 15 minutes before a meal, swallowed whole with water.

Dosage

The usual adult dose is 10mg once daily, which may be increased to 20mg once daily by your doctor if needed, based on your blood pressure response.

Shelf Life

Refer to the expiry date printed on the packaging.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
