Atroflex Gel

Atroflex Gel is a topical gel manufactured by Farmasia Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian medical device company based in Bangi, Selangor, and is registered as a medical device in Malaysia. It is sold through DoctorOnCall Malaysia in 50ml and 100ml tube sizes, and its active ingredient is a concentrated, extra virgin ozonised olive oil sourced from Spain.

The gel’s formulation combines ozonised olive oil with jojoba seed oil and peppermint oil, which gives it a mild cooling sensation on application, along with a gel base of purified water, propylene glycol, and other excipients that give the product its texture and stability. Ozonised olive oil carries a distinctive, slightly pungent smell, which the manufacturer notes is a sign of the active ingredient’s potency rather than a sign of a faulty product.

Atroflex Gel is intended for external, topical use only and is not formulated with conventional liniment actives such as methyl salicylate or camphor; its cooling sensation comes from the peppermint oil component of its olive-oil-based formulation. As a registered medical device rather than a prescription medicine, it is sold over the counter and does not require a doctor’s prescription.

• Squeeze about 1 to 2 inches of gel onto a fingertip.
• Apply the gel to the affected area and massage gently until it is fully absorbed.
• Apply 2 to 3 times a day, depending on the degree of discomfort.
• Wash your hands after applying the gel.

Apply a thin layer of Atroflex Gel to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily, massaging gently until it is absorbed, or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Store in a dry place at a temperature below 30°C, away from moisture, direct sunlight, and other heat sources.

• Broken skin, open wounds, or actively infected skin – this gel is intended for application to intact skin only.
