Overview

Brilinta 60mg Tablet is a prescription-only medicine (POM) that contains Ticagrelor 60mg. It is supplied as a tablet and is dispensed in Malaysia only against a valid prescription issued by a registered doctor.

Under Malaysian rules for prescription medicines, this page carries product, safety and handling information only. Your doctor or pharmacist will explain whether this medicine is suitable for you, the dose you should take, and how long you should take it.

On DoctorOnCall, Brilinta 60mg Tablet is reviewed by a licensed doctor through an online consultation and dispensed by a registered pharmacist before delivery. Always follow the instructions on your prescription label and the package insert supplied with the product, and do not share this medicine with anyone else.

Directions for Use

Take Brilinta 60mg Tablet at about the same times each day, with or without food, swallowing the tablet whole with water. It is taken together with aspirin as prescribed – do not exceed a daily aspirin dose of 100mg while on ticagrelor unless your doctor specifically advises otherwise, as higher aspirin doses can reduce ticagrelor’s effectiveness.

Dosage

Brilinta 60mg Tablet is usually taken as one tablet twice daily, in combination with a low dose of aspirin, as part of a long-term maintenance regimen following an acute coronary event. Your cardiologist will determine the exact dose and duration of dual antiplatelet therapy appropriate for you, and this should never be changed or stopped without specialist advice.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
