Cialis 20mg Tablet contains tadalafil 20mg, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, used on an as-needed basis for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), taken before anticipated sexual activity rather than every day.

Tadalafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis in response to sexual stimulation, helping to achieve and maintain an erection firm enough for satisfactory sexual activity, and, in the lower urinary tract, by relaxing smooth muscle to ease BPH-related urinary symptoms.

Tadalafil inhibits phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), an enzyme that normally breaks down cyclic GMP in the smooth muscle of the penis. By blocking PDE5, tadalafil raises cyclic GMP levels, sustaining smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow into the penis during sexual stimulation. The same PDE5 inhibition relaxes smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder neck, which can ease symptoms such as a weak urinary stream and urinary frequency in men with BPH.

Take Cialis 20mg Tablet by mouth at least 30 minutes before you anticipate sexual activity; it may be taken with or without food, though a high-fat meal may delay the onset of its effect. Sexual stimulation is still required for an erection to occur – this medicine does not cause an erection on its own. Do not take more than one dose within a 24-hour period.

The usual on-demand dose of Cialis 20mg Tablet is one 20mg tablet taken at least 30 minutes before anticipated sexual activity, and its effect can last up to 36 hours. It should not be taken more than once in any 24-hour period. This on-demand dosing is different from the lower daily 5mg dose used for continuous background treatment, so do not switch between the two regimens without your doctor’s advice.

Use this product before the expiry date stated on the packaging. Do not use the medicine if the expiry date has passed.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.

• Known hypersensitivity to tadalafil or any ingredient in this product
• Concomitant use with any form of nitrate medicine (e.g. glyceryl trinitrate, isosorbide) due to the risk of severe, potentially life-threatening low blood pressure
• Concomitant use with guanylate cyclase stimulators (e.g. riociguat)
• Severe cardiovascular disease, recent heart attack or stroke, or unstable angina
• Severe liver impairment

• Nitrate medicines cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure when combined with tadalafil and must never be taken together
• Alpha-blockers (used for blood pressure or BPH) can have an additive blood-pressure-lowering effect, so dose timing and monitoring are important
• Potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole, ritonavir) can increase tadalafil levels in the body
• Large amounts of alcohol may increase the risk of low blood pressure and dizziness when combined with tadalafil

• Never combine this medicine with nitrate medicines or recreational nitrites (‘poppers’)
• Seek urgent medical help for an erection lasting longer than 4 hours
• Limit alcohol intake, as it can increase the risk of side effects
• Tell your doctor about all heart, blood pressure, or prostate medicines you are taking before starting this treatment
