Overview

Cibinqo 200mg Tablet contains abrocitinib, a targeted oral medicine (a Janus kinase, or JAK1, inhibitor) used to treat moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults whose condition has not responded well enough to other systemic therapies, or when those are not advisable.

It works by blocking JAK1, an enzyme involved in relaying signals from inflammatory messengers (cytokines) that drive the itching, redness, and skin barrier disruption seen in atopic dermatitis, which reduces inflammation and skin symptoms.

How it Works

Abrocitinib selectively inhibits JAK1, interrupting the signalling cascade used by several inflammatory cytokines (including interleukin-4, interleukin-13, and interleukin-31) that contribute to the itching, inflammation, and skin barrier problems of atopic dermatitis.

Directions for Use

Take the tablet at about the same time each day, with or without food, and swallow it whole with water.

Dosage

The usual dose is one tablet once daily, but the exact dose and any adjustment for side effects or blood test results is individualised by the treating dermatologist or specialist.

Shelf Life

Refer to the expiry date printed on the packaging.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
