Overview

Coralan 5mg Tablet is a prescription-only medicine (POM) that contains Ivabradine 5mg (as ivabradine hydrochloride). It is supplied as a tablet and is dispensed in Malaysia only against a valid prescription issued by a registered doctor.

Under Malaysian rules for prescription medicines, this page carries product, safety and handling information only. Your doctor or pharmacist will explain whether this medicine is suitable for you, the dose you should take, and how long you should take it.

On DoctorOnCall, Coralan 5mg Tablet is reviewed by a licensed doctor through an online consultation and dispensed by a registered pharmacist before delivery. Always follow the instructions on your prescription label and the package insert supplied with the product, and do not share this medicine with anyone else.

Directions for Use

Take Coralan 5mg Tablet twice daily with meals, as food improves absorption of the medicine. Swallow the tablet whole with water at approximately the same times each day (morning and evening), and do not adjust your own dose without consulting your doctor, as your response is monitored closely, including periodic heart rate checks.

Dosage

The usual starting dose of Coralan 5mg Tablet is 5mg twice daily, taken morning and evening, with your doctor adjusting the dose after about 3-4 weeks based on your heart rate response, typically up to a maximum of 7.5mg twice daily. A lower starting dose is usually used in patients aged 75 years and above. Dosing must always be individualised by your doctor.
