• Mild burning, stinging, or itching at the application site, particularly when starting treatment
• Thinning of the skin (skin atrophy) with prolonged or excessive use
• Changes in skin colour (lightening) at the treated area
• Development of stretch marks (striae) or visible small blood vessels with long-term use on the same site
• Increased susceptibility to local skin infections with prolonged corticosteroid use
• Rarely, allergic contact dermatitis to the cream itself, which should be reported to the prescribing doctor

• Known hypersensitivity to fluticasone propionate or any other ingredient in the cream
• Untreated bacterial, viral, or fungal skin infections at the site to be treated
• Rosacea, perioral dermatitis, or acne, which corticosteroids can worsen
• Should not be applied to the face, groin, or armpits for prolonged periods unless specifically directed by the prescribing doctor
• Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only under medical supervision, after discussion with the prescribing doctor

• Using Cutivate 0.05% Cream together with other topical corticosteroids on the same area should be avoided unless directed by the prescribing doctor, as this may increase the risk of skin thinning
• Occlusive dressings placed over treated skin can increase absorption of fluticasone propionate and should only be used if specifically advised by the prescribing doctor
• There are no well-established significant food interactions with this topical cream
• Inform the prescribing doctor of all other topical or systemic medicines being used, including other steroid-containing products

• Apply only a thin layer to the areas of skin specifically indicated by the prescribing doctor
• Do not use for longer than the prescribed duration, as prolonged use raises the risk of skin thinning and other local side effects
• Avoid covering treated skin with airtight or occlusive dressings unless specifically instructed
• Moisturise surrounding unaffected skin to help manage general dryness
