Overview

Defuzin Ointment is an ointment with Clotrimazole declared as its active content. It is supplied in a pack size of 15g-tube.

This is a non-prescription product and can be purchased without a prescription. Only product, safety and handling details are published on this page.

An online consultation with a DoctorOnCall doctor or pharmacist is available for this product, and a registered pharmacist reviews each order before dispatch to Malaysia or Singapore. Follow the directions on the label and on the leaflet inside the pack.

Directions for Use

Clean and dry the affected area before use, then apply a thin layer of Defuzin Ointment to cover the affected skin and a small margin of surrounding healthy skin. Apply two to three times daily, or as directed on the packaging, and continue treatment for the recommended duration even after visible symptoms have cleared, to help ensure the bacterial infection is fully eradicated.

Dosage

For most superficial bacterial skin infections, Defuzin Ointment is applied two to three times daily to the affected area. Treatment is typically continued for two to four weeks depending on the site and severity of infection; if there is no improvement after two weeks of consistent use, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.

Shelf Life

Defuzin Ointment is generally stable for up to 24 to 36 months from the date of manufacture when unopened and stored correctly; the exact expiry date is printed on the tube and outer packaging. Do not use the ointment beyond its stated expiry date.

Storage Instructions

Store Defuzin Ointment below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the tube tightly closed after each use and out of reach of children.
