Horamine 4mg Syrup

Horamine 4mg Syrup is an oral liquid antihistamine formulation containing chlorpheniramine maleate 4mg/5ml, a first-generation antihistamine used to relieve the symptoms of allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis (runny or blocked nose, sneezing), skin allergies with itching or hives (urticaria), and other mild hypersensitivity reactions. The syrup form makes it a convenient option for children and adults who prefer a liquid medicine or have difficulty swallowing tablets.

As a first-generation antihistamine, chlorpheniramine crosses into the brain more readily than newer non-sedating antihistamines, which means drowsiness is a common and expected effect. Horamine 4mg Syrup is available without a doctor’s prescription in Malaysia, and is widely used for short-term relief of allergy symptoms and common cold-related sneezing and runny nose.

Chlorpheniramine maleate blocks histamine H1 receptors throughout the body, preventing histamine, a chemical released during allergic reactions, from binding and triggering symptoms such as itching, sneezing, nasal congestion, and watery eyes, thereby reducing the overall allergic response.

Measure the correct dose of Horamine 4mg Syrup using the measuring cup or spoon provided, rather than a household spoon, and take it orally as directed on the label or by a pharmacist.
