Live-well UTIpure

Live-well UTIpure is an effervescent granule preparation supplied in individual 4g sachets, manufactured by Live-well Nutraceuticals (711077-D), Malaysia. It is registered in Malaysia under MAL 15095028XC and belongs to the urinary alkalinizer category of oral preparations, rather than being a cranberry or D-mannose based dietary capsule.

Each 4g sachet contains sodium bicarbonate 1760mg, sodium citrate anhydrous 630mg, citric acid anhydrous 720mg, and tartaric acid 890mg, together with a lime flavouring agent. The powder is designed to be dissolved in cold water before drinking. The formulation contains no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners such as saccharin or aspartame.

Live-well UTIpure is sold in Malaysia as an OTC (Over-the-Counter) product, available in a pack of 9 sachets x2 plus 3 bonus sachets (21 sachets total). It is presented as a lime-flavoured effervescent drink mix and is physically and pharmacologically distinct from herbal or cranberry-extract UTI supplement capsules sold under other brand names.

Empty the contents of one sachet into a glass of cold water and stir until the powder has fully dissolved; the mixture will fizz briefly as it dissolves. Drink the solution promptly after mixing. Do not mix the sachet with hot water, carbonated drinks, or milk. Use a fresh glass of water for each sachet taken during the day, and space doses evenly across the day as directed on the pack.

The typical adult dose is 4g to 8g (that is, 1 to 2 sachets) dissolved in cold water, taken four times daily for 5 days, or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. The course should not be extended beyond 5 days without medical advice. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered and continue with the next scheduled dose; do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

See a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms have not improved after completing the 5-day course, if symptoms worsen at any point, or if fever, chills, blood in the urine, or flank/back pain develop, as these can indicate a condition that needs further assessment.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep each sachet in its original packaging until it is used, and keep the product out of reach and sight of children.

• Serious: Symptoms that may indicate excess sodium intake, such as swelling of the ankles or legs, unusual tiredness, or shortness of breath, particularly in people with heart or kidney conditions — stop use and consult a doctor promptly.

• Known hypersensitivity to sodium bicarbonate, sodium citrate, citric acid, tartaric acid, or any other ingredient in the sachet.
• Severe kidney impairment or kidney failure, due to the sachet’s significant sodium and electrolyte content.
• Conditions that require a medically supervised low-sodium diet, such as uncontrolled hypertension or heart failure, unless a doctor has specifically advised its use.
• Not recommended for young children unless a doctor has specifically advised its use and dose.

• As a urinary alkalinizer, this product changes urine pH and may alter how some other medicines are absorbed or excreted, including certain antibiotics (for example, some quinolone or tetracycline-class antibiotics) and methotrexate; separate dosing times and check with a pharmacist if taking these together.
• Contains a significant amount of sodium, so combining it with other sodium-containing medicines, antacids, or supplements should be discussed with a pharmacist, especially for people on a sodium-restricted diet.
• Because the product alkalinizes urine, it may reduce the effectiveness of medicines that require acidic urine to work as intended; check with a pharmacist if taking other urinary or kidney-related medicines.
• No specific food interactions are established; take with a full glass of water as directed.

• Always dissolve the full sachet in a glass of cold water before drinking — do not swallow the powder directly.
