Loette Tablet

Loette Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive (COC) pill containing Ethinylestradiol 20mcg and Levonorgestrel 100mcg, two synthetic hormones that work together to prevent pregnancy. It is a low-dose combined pill commonly prescribed for reliable, reversible contraception, and may also help regulate menstrual cycles and reduce menstrual pain or heavy bleeding in some women, when used as directed by a doctor.

• Migraine with aura
• Uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Known or suspected breast cancer, or other hormone-sensitive cancers
• Smokers over the age of 35, due to increased cardiovascular risk
• Severe liver disease or liver tumours

• Certain antibiotics (e.g., rifampicin) and anticonvulsants (e.g., carbamazepine, phenytoin) may reduce the contraceptive effectiveness of Loette Tablet
• St. John’s Wort (a herbal supplement) may reduce hormone levels and contraceptive reliability
• Smoking, particularly in women over 35, significantly increases cardiovascular risk when combined with this medicine
• Inform your doctor of all other medicines, including over-the-counter products and supplements, before starting this pill
