Marimer Isotonic Hygiene Nasal Spray is a 100% natural seawater nasal spray combined with purified water to achieve an isotonic solution that matches the salt balance of the body’s own fluids. It is a non-medicated, over-the-counter (OTC) nasal hygiene product rather than a drug, and is generally considered safe and gentle enough for babies, children and adults alike. It is supplied in a 100ml spray bottle.

Its non-addictive, preservative-free isotonic formulation is intended to make it suitable for regular, ongoing use.

The spray works mechanically rather than through a drug action. The isotonic seawater and purified water solution helps loosen and flush away mucus, dust, pollen and other irritant particles from the nasal lining, supporting the nose’s own natural clearance process.

Because the solution is isotonic, it does not draw fluid into or out of the nasal tissue by osmosis, which is why it is generally non-irritating and suitable for frequent use across age groups, from infants to adults.

Tilt your head slightly and gently insert the nozzle into one nostril. Press briefly for a gentle spray, then remove the nozzle and allow any excess solution and loosened mucus to drain out, gently blowing your nose afterwards if needed. Repeat for the other nostril. For babies and young children, a caregiver should hold the bottle and apply the spray gently, wiping away any excess with a soft tissue afterwards. Clean the nozzle after each use.

As a non-medicated hygiene spray, there is no fixed pharmacological dose. General usage guidance is one to two sprays into each nostril, one to three times a day, or as directed by a healthcare professional. It is considered suitable for daily use across age groups; for infants and young children, an adult should supervise and administer the spray, and a doctor or pharmacist can advise on suitable frequency if there is any uncertainty.

Use before the expiry date printed on the bottle and carton. As with most multi-dose nasal sprays, check the packaging for any stated period of use after first opening (commonly a few months), and discard the bottle once that period has passed, even if some solution remains, or sooner if the solution appears discoloured or the nozzle is damaged.

Store below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and heat, and out of reach and sight of children. Keep the bottle upright with the cap closed between uses, and do not freeze.

• Wipe the nozzle clean with a tissue after each use and keep the cap on between uses.
• Some people choose to use it more frequently during haze season, long flights, or extended time in air-conditioned rooms.
• For babies and toddlers, use gentle pressure only and have a soft tissue ready to wipe away loosened mucus.
• Because it is non-addictive and preservative-free, it can be used as part of a regular daily hygiene routine without dependency concerns.
