Overview

Nebilet 5mg Tablet is a prescription-only medicine (POM) presented as a tablet, with Nebivolol 5mg (as nebivolol hydrochloride) as its active ingredient content.

This page is limited to product, safety and handling information, in line with Malaysian rules on prescription medicine information for the public. Your prescriber or pharmacist is the right source for anything beyond that, together with the leaflet inside the pack.

Through DoctorOnCall, this product is supplied after an online consultation with a licensed doctor and a valid prescription, and it is checked by a registered pharmacist before dispensing. Take it exactly as prescribed, and speak to your doctor before stopping, changing the dose, or starting any other medicine alongside it.

Directions for Use

Take Nebilet 5mg Tablet once daily, at about the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not stop this medicine abruptly, even if you feel well, as suddenly stopping a beta-blocker can cause a rebound increase in heart rate, blood pressure, or chest pain – your doctor will reduce the dose gradually if treatment needs to be discontinued.

Dosage

The usual starting dose of Nebilet 5mg Tablet for hypertension is 5mg once daily, which is often the maintenance dose, though your doctor may adjust it based on your blood pressure response. If used for heart failure, treatment is started at a much lower dose and increased very gradually under close medical supervision.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
