Overview

Ofev 100mg Capsule is a prescription-only medicine (POM) that contains Nintedanib 100mg (as nintedanib esilate). It is supplied as a capsule and is dispensed in Malaysia only against a valid prescription issued by a registered doctor.

Under Malaysian rules for prescription medicines, this page carries product, safety and handling information only. Your doctor or pharmacist will explain whether this medicine is suitable for you, the dose you should take, and how long you should take it.

On DoctorOnCall, Ofev 100mg Capsule is reviewed by a licensed doctor through an online consultation and dispensed by a registered pharmacist before delivery. Always follow the instructions on your prescription label and the package insert supplied with the product, and do not share this medicine with anyone else.

Directions for Use

Swallow Ofev 100mg Capsule capsules whole with water, taken with food (at the same time each day) to help reduce nausea and other stomach side effects. Do not chew or crush the capsules. Regular blood tests, including liver function tests, are required throughout treatment as directed by your specialist.

Dosage

The 100mg strength is commonly used when a lower dose is needed, such as after a dose reduction from 150mg twice daily due to side effects like diarrhoea or liver enzyme changes, taken twice daily about 12 hours apart. Your treating pulmonologist will determine the starting dose, monitor your response, and adjust or temporarily interrupt treatment if side effects such as diarrhoea or liver enzyme changes occur – never adjust the dose yourself.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
