Overview

Omnifit KF94 4 Ply Protective Face Mask Adult is an adult-size, 4-ply face mask from Omnifit. According to the manufacturer, it is labelled as a KF94-type mask, a style recognised for its structured, three-dimensional shape that creates breathing space in front of the mouth while fitting closely around the nose, cheeks and chin. The four layers are described on the pack, along with the colour and number of masks per box. It is designed for adults who want a close-fitting mask for daily commuting, work and errands.

In Malaysia and Singapore, many adults wear masks on crowded trains and buses, in hospitals and clinics, or when they have cold symptoms and want to protect others. The fold-out KF94 style of Omnifit KF94 4 Ply Protective Face Mask Adult is often found more comfortable for speaking because the mask does not cling to the lips. A secure fit around the nose also helps reduce glasses fogging up. In hot, humid weather, carry a spare and change the mask when it becomes damp.

A close-fitting mask can feel warmer and slightly harder to breathe through than a loose surgical-style mask. Adults with breathing difficulties, chronic lung or heart conditions, or who are pregnant should check with a doctor if they find it uncomfortable. A mask works best together with hand hygiene, good ventilation and staying home when unwell. Dispose of used masks responsibly in a closed bin.

Directions for Use

  • Wash or sanitise your hands before handling the mask.
  • Unfold the mask fully and hold it with the nose strip at the top.
  • Place it over the nose and under the chin, then loop the straps behind your ears.
  • Press the nose strip with both fingertips to shape it, and adjust so there are no gaps at the sides.
  • Remove using the ear loops only, dispose of it in a closed bin and wash your hands.

Storage Instructions

  • Store in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
  • Keep masks sealed in their original packaging until needed.
  • Avoid storing in hot cars or near chemicals and strong odours.
  • Carry spares in a clean, dry pouch rather than loose in a bag.

Side Effects

  • Most adults wear the mask without problems when it fits correctly.
  • Pressure marks or soreness on the bridge of the nose or behind the ears may occur with long wear.
  • Skin irritation, breakouts or a rash under the mask may occur, especially in hot, humid conditions.
  • Feeling warm or slightly short of breath may occur; remove the mask in a safe place if you feel dizzy or unwell.
  • Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if skin irritation or breathing discomfort persists.

Contraindications

  • Breathing, lung or heart conditions: check with a doctor before wearing a close-fitting mask for long periods.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to any material listed on the pack.
  • Not suitable for anyone who cannot remove the mask without help.
  • Do not wear during strenuous exercise unless advised.

Drug / Food Interactions

  • No known food or drug interactions.
  • If you use prescribed creams or gels on the face, let them absorb fully before putting on the mask to lower the risk of irritation.

Quick Tips

  • Shape the nose strip carefully to help reduce glasses fogging.
  • Keep two or three spare masks in a sealed pouch for long days out.
  • Use a light, non-greasy moisturiser to help prevent mask-related skin dryness.
  • Do not pull the mask down to your chin and back up, as this contaminates the inside.
  • Choose the mask size that leaves no gaps at the sides.

Relevant Information

Intended for single use unless stated otherwise on the pack; do not wash or reuse. Dispose of used masks in a closed bin.

If you have fever, cough or breathing difficulty, seek medical advice. A mask does not replace other hygiene measures or medical care.
