Overview

Perinace 4mg Tablet contains perindopril erbumine 4mg, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and stable coronary artery disease. This product is manufactured by Duopharma, a well-established Malaysian pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Perindopril works by blocking the ACE enzyme, which reduces the formation of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. This allows blood vessels to relax and widen, lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart’s workload.

How it Works

Perindopril inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme, reducing the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. With less angiotensin II, blood vessels relax and widen and aldosterone-driven sodium retention is reduced, together lowering blood pressure and easing the heart’s workload.

Directions for Use

Take Perinace 4mg Tablet once daily in the morning, before a meal, as food may reduce its absorption. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as blood pressure control needs to be continuous.

Dosage

The usual starting dose of Perinace 4mg Tablet for hypertension is a lower strength once daily, which your doctor may adjust based on your blood pressure response, up to a recommended maximum. Always take exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Shelf Life

Use this product before the expiry date stated on the packaging. Do not use the medicine if the expiry date has passed.
