Pgs Hua Luo Oil

Pgs Hua Luo Oil is a traditional Chinese medicine-inspired topical liniment formulated with Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis), Chuan Xiong (Szechuan Lovage Root), Cinnamon Oil, Menthol, and Camphor, blended into a liquid oil base for external application on the skin.

It is classified as an OTC (Over-the-Counter) external herbal liniment, available for purchase directly from a pharmacy without a doctor’s prescription, and is packaged in a 50ml bottle for convenient home use.

The blend of traditional Chinese herbal extracts together with menthol and camphor gives Pgs Hua Luo Oil a distinctive herbal-aromatic character and a warm, tingling sensation on the skin, setting it apart from purely synthetic single-ingredient medicated oils, and it has long been a familiar name among households in Malaysia and Singapore that favour traditionally-inspired external liniments.

Apply a small amount of Pgs Hua Luo Oil to the affected area of the skin and massage gently until absorbed. It is for external use on intact skin only and must not be applied to open wounds, broken or infected skin, the eyes, nose, mouth, or other mucous membranes. Wash your hands with soap and water after application unless the hands themselves are being treated, and replace the cap tightly after each use.

Pgs Hua Luo Oil is a topical liniment and not an oral medicine, so there is no oral dose to follow. As a general guide, it may be applied to the affected area 2-3 times a day, or as directed on the product label, and should not be applied more frequently than stated on the packaging. If there is no improvement after several days of regular use, or if the area becomes more painful, swollen, or irritated, stop using the product and consult a pharmacist or doctor. This product is intended for adult use; check the label for age guidance before use in children.

Use Pgs Hua Luo Oil before the expiry date printed on the bottle and outer carton. Once opened, use the product within the period recommended on the label, as the fragrance and potency of the herbal and aromatic ingredients may fade with repeated opening and air exposure.

Store Pgs Hua Luo Oil at room temperature below 30°C, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat sources. Keep the bottle tightly capped between uses to reduce evaporation of the volatile oils, and keep it out of the reach and sight of children. Avoid storing the bottle near an open flame due to its flammable aromatic oil content.

• Serious: Allergic contact dermatitis with itching, rash, swelling, or blistering, which requires prompt medical attention.
• Serious: Chemical burn or skin blistering from excessive or occlusive application, which needs urgent medical review.

• Known hypersensitivity or allergy to Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, cinnamon oil, menthol, camphor, or any other ingredient in this liniment.
• Application to broken, cut, or infected skin, open wounds, or areas of significant irritation.
• Application near or in the eyes, inside the nose or mouth, or on other mucous membranes.
• Use under an occlusive dressing, tight bandage, or heating pad, which may increase skin absorption and irritation.
• Oral ingestion of the product under any circumstances, as it is intended for external use only.

• No clinically significant drug or food interactions are expected with normal external use, as Pgs Hua Luo Oil is applied to the skin rather than taken by mouth.
• Avoid combining this product with other topical liniments, herbal oils, or camphor/menthol-containing balms on the same area at the same time, as this may increase the risk of skin irritation.
• Individuals taking oral anticoagulant or antiplatelet medicines (such as warfarin or aspirin) should mention regular use of Dang Gui or Chuan Xiong-containing topical products to their doctor or pharmacist, as these herbs are traditionally associated with effects on blood circulation, although absorption from topical use is expected to be limited.

• Perform a small patch test before first use if you have never used this product before.
• Massage the oil in gently rather than rubbing vigorously, especially on sensitive skin.
• Close the cap firmly after each use to preserve the herbal aroma and prevent leakage in your bag.
• Avoid applying the oil just before or after a hot shower, as heat can intensify the tingling sensation.
• Wash your hands after use unless treating the hands, to avoid accidentally transferring the oil to your eyes.
