Overview

Pureen Clinzo Isotonic Seawater Nasal Spray is a nasal spray with 100% Natural Isotonic Seawater declared as its active content. It is supplied in a pack size of 50ml.

This is an over-the-counter (OTC) product and can be purchased without a prescription. Only product, safety and handling details are published on this page.

An online consultation with a DoctorOnCall doctor or pharmacist is available for this product, and a registered pharmacist reviews each order before dispatch to Malaysia or Singapore. Follow the directions on the label and on the leaflet inside the pack.

Directions for Use

Tilt your head slightly forward and gently insert the nozzle just inside one nostril. Press down to release the spray while breathing in lightly through the nose, then remove the nozzle and allow any excess solution and loosened mucus to drain out, gently blowing your nose afterwards. Repeat for the other nostril. For infants and young children, a caregiver should hold the bottle and apply the spray gently, using a soft tissue afterwards to wipe away any excess. Wipe the nozzle clean after each use.

Dosage

As a non-medicated hygiene spray, there is no fixed pharmacological dose. General usage guidance is one to two sprays into each nostril, two to four times a day, or as needed. It is considered suitable for daily, long-term use across age groups; for infants and very young children, an adult should supervise and administer the spray, and a doctor or pharmacist can advise on suitable frequency if there is any uncertainty.

Shelf Life

Use before the expiry date printed on the bottle and carton. As with most multi-dose nasal sprays, check the packaging for any stated period of use after first opening (commonly a few months), and discard the bottle once that period has passed, even if some solution remains, or sooner if the solution appears discoloured or the nozzle is damaged.

Storage Instructions

Store below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and heat, and out of reach and sight of children. Keep the bottle upright with the cap closed between uses, and do not freeze.

Side Effects

  • Common: A mild tingling or stinging sensation in the nose immediately after use.
  • Common: Temporary sneezing or slight nasal dryness.
  • Serious: Persistent nasal irritation or nosebleeds are uncommon; stop use and seek medical advice if these occur.

Contraindications

  • Not for use in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to seawater-based nasal products.
  • Not intended for use in the ears or eyes; use only in the nose as directed.
  • Not a substitute for prescribed treatment of a diagnosed sinus infection or other underlying ENT condition.

Drug / Food Interactions

  • No clinically significant drug or food interactions are known for this seawater nasal spray, as it is not systemically absorbed.
  • It can generally be used together with other nasal medicines, with this seawater spray typically applied first, before a medicated product is used.

Quick Tips

  • If you also use a decongestant or steroid nasal spray, apply this spray first, before the medicated product.
  • Keep a bottle in the diaper bag or travel kit, as its compact 50ml size makes it convenient to carry.
  • Avoid sharing your bottle and nozzle with other family members.
  • Wipe the nozzle clean with a tissue after each use and keep the cap on between uses.
  • Some people choose to use it more frequently during haze season or long periods in air-conditioned rooms.
  • For babies and toddlers, use gentle pressure only and have a soft tissue ready to wipe away loosened mucus.

Relevant Information

Pureen Clinzo Isotonic Seawater Nasal Spray is a non-medicated, seawater-based hygiene product; it is not a treatment for a diagnosed sinus infection or structural nasal condition.

Precautions: Use only in the nose and avoid spraying into the eyes. Use gentle pressure in infants and young children, as forceful spraying may in rare cases allow solution to travel toward the middle ear. If your child has a history of frequent ear infections or any diagnosed ear condition, check with a doctor or pharmacist before regular use.

When to See a Doctor or Pharmacist: See a doctor or pharmacist if nasal congestion or discomfort lasts more than seven to ten days, if symptoms worsen, if there is blood in the nasal discharge, facial pain or swelling, high fever, or signs of an ear infection, as these may need separate medical assessment.
