Sebamed Baby Extra Soft Cream

Sebamed Baby Extra Soft Cream is a rich moisturising cream from the Baby Sebamed range, made for the delicate skin of babies and children. According to the manufacturer, it has a natural lipid formula with jojoba oil, shea butter, panthenol, glycerin and allantoin. It is formulated at pH 5.5, in line with the rest of the Sebamed range.

Sebamed states that the cream helps prevent dryness and protect the skin with its rich lipid formula, while the jojoba oil care complex helps soothe the skin. Its richer texture makes it suitable for areas that tend to feel dry, such as the cheeks, elbows, knees and hands. It can be used on the face and body as part of a daily baby care routine.

In Malaysia, many families use air-conditioning at night, which can leave a child’s skin feeling dry by morning even in a humid climate. Applying Sebamed Baby Extra Soft Cream after bath time helps keep skin feeling soft and comfortable. Use a thin layer in hot weather, and check the ingredient list on the pack if your child has known sensitivities.

• Wash your hands before applying.
• After bathing, gently pat your child’s skin dry.
• Warm a small amount of Sebamed Baby Extra Soft Cream between your fingers.
• Smooth a thin layer onto dry areas of the face or body, avoiding the eyes and mouth.
• Allow it to absorb before dressing your child.

Refer to the expiry date printed on the packaging. As a cosmetic product, it may also carry a period-after-opening symbol (an open jar icon with a number followed by “M”), which shows how many months the product can be used once opened. Do not use after the expiry date or if the texture, colour or smell has changed.

• Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C.
• Keep away from direct sunlight and heat, such as inside a parked car.
• Close the cap tightly after use to keep the product clean.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Sebamed Baby Extra Soft Cream is generally well tolerated by delicate skin.
• Mild redness or a rash may appear in children sensitive to an ingredient, such as fragrance or beeswax.
• Small bumps or a heat rash may develop if a thick layer is applied in very hot, humid conditions.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any reaction persists.

• Do not use if your child is allergic to any ingredient listed on the packaging, including shea butter or beeswax.
• Do not apply to open wounds, weeping or infected-looking skin.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, and do not apply inside the mouth or nose.
• Seek medical advice for very dry, cracked or inflamed skin that does not improve with regular moisturising.

• No known food interactions.
• Avoid applying other creams or lotions on the same area at the same time unless advised.
• If your child uses a doctor-prescribed cream, ask your doctor or pharmacist about the timing and order of application.

• Apply within a few minutes after bath time to help lock in moisture.
• Use a thin layer on hot days and a slightly thicker layer on dry areas in air-conditioned rooms.
• Dress your child in breathable cotton clothing.
• Use lukewarm water for baths, as hot water can dry the skin.
• Scoop cream with clean, dry fingers to keep the product hygienic.
