Sebamed Baby Protective Facial Cream

Sebamed Baby Protective Facial Cream is a face cream from the Baby Sebamed range, made for the delicate facial skin of babies and young children. According to the manufacturer, it contains a protective moisturising complex with allantoin and hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate), plus panthenol and vitamin E. Like other Sebamed products, it is formulated at pH 5.5.

Baby skin on the cheeks, chin and around the mouth is often exposed to drool, food, wiping and changes in temperature. Sebamed describes this cream as helping to prevent dryness, with panthenol to help safeguard against irritation. A thin layer can be applied as part of a daily baby care routine to help the face feel soft and comfortable.

In Malaysia, babies move between hot outdoor air and cool air-conditioned rooms, which can leave facial skin feeling dry. Sebamed Baby Protective Facial Cream gives parents a dedicated facial moisturiser to use after bathing or before going out. Check the ingredient list on the pack, and speak to your doctor or pharmacist if your baby’s skin is red, cracked or not improving.

• Wash your hands before applying.
• Make sure your baby’s face is clean and gently patted dry.
• Take a small amount of Sebamed Baby Protective Facial Cream on your fingertip.
• Smooth a thin layer over the cheeks, chin and forehead, avoiding the eyes, nostrils and inside the mouth.
• Reapply as needed during the day.

Refer to the expiry date printed on the packaging. As a cosmetic product, it may also carry a period-after-opening symbol (an open jar icon with a number followed by “M”), which shows how many months the product can be used once opened. Do not use after the expiry date or if the texture, colour or smell has changed.

• Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C.
• Keep away from direct sunlight and heat, such as inside a parked car.
• Close the cap tightly after use to keep the product clean.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Sebamed Baby Protective Facial Cream is generally well tolerated by delicate skin.
• Mild redness or a rash may appear in babies sensitive to an ingredient, such as fragrance.
• Some babies may develop small bumps if a heavy layer is applied in very hot conditions.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any reaction persists.

• Do not use if your child is allergic to any ingredient listed on the packaging.
• Do not apply to open wounds, weeping or broken skin.
• Avoid contact with the eyes and do not apply inside the mouth or nose.
• Seek medical advice for a facial rash that spreads, blisters or does not improve, rather than relying on a moisturiser alone.

• No known food interactions.
• Avoid layering with other baby creams on the same area at the same time unless advised.
• If your child is using a medicated cream prescribed by a doctor, ask your doctor or pharmacist how to use it alongside this cream.

• A pea-sized amount is usually enough for the whole face.
• Gently pat away drool during the day before reapplying.
• Apply after bath time while the skin is still slightly soft.
• Use a thin layer in hot weather so the skin does not feel heavy.
• Keep your baby’s nails short to reduce scratching of the face.

For external use only. Before first use, apply a small amount to a small patch of skin and watch for any reaction over 24 hours.
