Sebamed Lip Defence

Sebamed Lip Defence is a lip care stick from Sebamed designed for dry and chapped lips. According to the manufacturer, it nourishes delicate lips with plant oils, including jojoba oil, and contains vitamin E and bisabolol. It is made for everyday use by adults who want a simple, pocket-sized lip care product.

Sebamed states that Lip Defence also contains UVA and UVB filters to help protect the delicate lip area from the sun. This makes it a practical choice for daily commutes, outdoor activities and travel, when lips are exposed to sun, wind and dry air. The stick format glides on easily and can be reapplied throughout the day as needed.

In Malaysia, lips can feel dry from strong sun outdoors and long hours in air-conditioned offices, cars and malls. • Remove the cap and twist up a small amount of the stick.
• Apply evenly to clean, dry lips.
• Reapply as needed throughout the day, especially after eating, drinking or time in the sun.
• Replace the cap after use.

Refer to the expiry date printed on the packaging. As a cosmetic product, it may also carry a period-after-opening symbol (an open jar icon with a number followed by “M”), which shows how many months the product can be used once opened. Do not use after the expiry date or if the texture, colour or smell has changed.

• Do not leave in a hot car or in direct sunlight, as the stick may soften or melt.
• Always replace the cap after use.

• Some people may experience tingling, dryness or irritation of the lips.
• Redness or swelling around the lips may occur in people sensitive to an ingredient, such as fragrance, beeswax or UV filters.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if the reaction persists.

• Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredient listed on the packaging, including beeswax or castor oil.
• Do not apply to cracked, bleeding or broken skin on the lips.
• Avoid sharing the stick with others to reduce the risk of spreading germs.
• Seek medical advice for lip sores, blisters or persistent cracking rather than relying on lip care alone.

• No known food interactions.
• Avoid layering with other lip products containing strong fragrances or flavours at the same time unless advised.
• If you are using a prescribed treatment on or around the lips, check with your doctor or pharmacist before use.

• Apply before heading outdoors and reapply regularly while in the sun.
• Keep one stick at work and one in your bag so it is always on hand.
• Drink enough water during hot days to help prevent dry lips.
• Avoid licking your lips, which can leave them feeling drier.
• Apply at night before bed for overnight lip care.

For external use on the lips only. Lip care with sun filters is one part of sun protection; also use shade, hats and suitable sunscreen on exposed skin.
