Overview

Strepsils Max Pro Direct 8.75mg Spray is a spray with Flurbiprofen 8.75mg per metered spray declared as its active content. It is supplied in a pack size of 15ml.

This is a non-prescription product and can be purchased without a prescription. Only product, safety and handling details are published on this page.

An online consultation with a DoctorOnCall doctor or pharmacist is available for this product, and a registered pharmacist reviews each order before dispatch to Malaysia or Singapore. Follow the directions on the label and on the leaflet inside the pack.

Directions for Use

Spray directly onto the affected area of the throat, generally a small number of sprays as directed on the product label, and avoid swallowing immediately after use to allow the medicine to act on the throat tissue. Do not exceed the maximum number of sprays or applications per day stated on the packaging, and avoid eating or drinking for a short period after use if instructed on the label.

Dosage

The usual adult and adolescent (12 years and above) dose is a small number of sprays applied to the throat every 3 to 6 hours as needed, not exceeding the maximum daily number of applications stated on the product label. It is generally not recommended for children under 12 years old, and use should not continue beyond a few days without medical review if symptoms persist.

Shelf Life

When stored correctly and unopened, this spray typically remains stable until the expiry date printed on the bottle and outer packaging. Always check this date before use and discard the product after the stated expiry, or after any in-use period stated on the label.

Storage Instructions

Store between 25°C and 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep the spray nozzle clean and the cap tightly closed after each use. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Relevant Information

Sore throat is commonly caused by viral infections that resolve on their own, and this spray is intended to relieve pain and inflammation rather than treat an underlying infection. Anyone with a sore throat lasting more than a few days, accompanied by high fever, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or a white or yellow coating on the tonsils should see a doctor, as these may indicate a bacterial infection or another condition requiring different treatment.
