Systane Lid Wipes

Systane Lid Wipes are pre-moistened eyelid cleansing wipes from Systane, the eye-care range by Alcon. They are designed for gentle daily cleansing of the eyelids and eyelashes as part of an eyelid hygiene routine. The wipes help remove debris, oil and residue that can build up along the lash line.

Eyelid hygiene is often recommended by eye-care professionals as part of a routine for eyelids that feel irritated, crusty or uncomfortable. According to the manufacturer, Systane Lid Wipes are suitable for daily use and can also help remove eye make-up residue. Each wipe is designed for single use, so a fresh wipe is used every time.

In Malaysia, long hours on screens, air-conditioned offices and urban dust can leave the eyes and eyelids feeling tired or uncomfortable. Systane Lid Wipes are for external use on the closed eyelids and lashes only, and must not be placed in the eye. • Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
• Remove contact lenses before use.
• Open the pack and take out one wipe.
• Close your eyes and gently wipe the eyelids and the base of the lashes with a side-to-side motion.
• Use a fresh wipe, or a clean section as directed on the pack, for the other eye.
• Discard the used wipe and follow the pack instructions on whether rinsing is needed.

Refer to the expiry date printed on the Systane Lid Wipes pack. Once opened, reseal the pack tightly after every use so the wipes do not dry out, and follow any use-by period stated on the packaging. Do not use the wipes if they have dried out or the pack has passed its expiry date.

• Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place.
• Keep away from direct sunlight and heat.
• Keep unopened wipes sealed in their packaging until use.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Systane Lid Wipes are generally well tolerated when used on the closed eyelids as directed.
• Mild stinging or a temporary burning feeling if solution gets into the eye.
• Redness or irritation of the eyelid skin in people sensitive to any ingredient.
• Temporary blurred vision if residue gets into the eye.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation persists or your eyes feel worse.

• Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredient listed on the pack.
• Do not use inside the eye or on broken skin around the eyes.
• Do not use while wearing contact lenses.
• Do not use if you have eye pain, a recent eye injury or eye surgery unless advised by your doctor.
• Use on children only as advised by a doctor or eye-care professional.

• No known food interactions.
• If you use prescribed eye drops or ointments, check with your doctor or pharmacist about when to use the wipes in relation to them.
• Avoid using other eyelid cleansers at the same time unless advised.

• Make lid cleansing part of your morning or bedtime routine.
• Always wash your hands before touching your eyes.
• Use a separate wipe for each eye to maintain hygiene.
• Remove eye make-up gently and avoid rubbing your eyes.
• Take regular screen breaks to help your eyes feel more comfortable.
