Overview

Travocort Cream is supplied as a cream, with Diflucortolone valerate and Isoconazole nitrate. It is supplied in a pack size of 10g.

No prescription is required for this product, as it is a non-prescription medicine. This page is limited to product, safety and handling information.

If you would like guidance before buying, you can speak to a doctor or pharmacist through an online consultation on DoctorOnCall. Orders are dispensed by a registered pharmacist and delivered to your address.

Directions for Use

Use Travocort Cream only as prescribed by your doctor following an online consultation. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer of cream and gently rub it in, usually twice daily (morning and evening) unless your doctor advises otherwise. Continue treatment for the full course prescribed even if the itching and redness improve quickly, since stopping too early can allow the fungal infection to persist or return.

Dosage

Treatment is typically applied twice daily for around 1 to 2 weeks, after which many prescribers will advise switching to an antifungal-only cream (without the steroid) to complete the full antifungal course once the inflammation has settled, to avoid prolonged steroid use on the skin. Do not use for longer than your doctor has prescribed, and do not restart it for a new episode without checking in again, as the diagnosis should be reconfirmed.

Shelf Life

Travocort Cream is generally stable for up to 2 to 3 years from the date of manufacture when unopened and stored correctly; always check the expiry date printed on the tube and outer carton and do not use the product beyond this date.

Storage Instructions

Store Travocort Cream below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the tube tightly closed after each use. Keep out of reach and sight of children, and do not use if the cream’s colour or consistency appears to have changed.

Side Effects

  • Skin irritation or dryness
  • Burning or stinging sensation at the application site
  • Thinning of the skin with prolonged use
  • Skin discoloration
  • Stretch marks
  • Acne-like eruptions

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity to diflucortolone valerate, isoconazole nitrate, or any other ingredient in the cream
  • Untreated bacterial or viral skin infections (including tuberculosis of the skin, chickenpox, shingles or herpes simplex) at the site to be treated
  • Use on the face for prolonged periods, or on thin-skinned areas like the groin and armpits for longer than prescribed, without close doctor supervision
  • Acne, rosacea, or perioral dermatitis, which can worsen with corticosteroid use
  • Use on large areas of broken or infected skin without medical supervision

Drug / Food Interactions

  • Combining Travocort Cream with other topical corticosteroids increases the risk of skin thinning and should be avoided unless directed by your doctor
  • Using occlusive dressings or tight bandages over treated skin increases absorption of both ingredients and the risk of side effects, and should only be done if specifically instructed
  • Other topical antifungal or antibacterial products applied to the same area at the same time may reduce effectiveness or increase irritation; space out or avoid unless advised
  • Inform your doctor about all other topical, oral, or systemic corticosteroid or antifungal medicines you are using

Quick Tips

  • Complete the full course prescribed, even if symptoms improve quickly, to fully clear the fungal infection
  • Apply only a thin layer to clean, dry skin, usually twice daily as directed
  • Avoid using on the face, groin or armpits for longer than prescribed without your doctor’s guidance
  • Do not share this cream with others, even if their rash looks similar
  • Seek medical advice if the rash worsens, spreads, or does not improve within the prescribed treatment period
  • Ask your doctor whether to switch to an antifungal-only cream once inflammation has settled

How long will delivery take?

Within Malaysia, standard delivery takes 3 to 5 working days. Same-day delivery is available in the Klang Valley for orders placed before 12pm; orders placed after 12pm arrive by the end of the next day.

Orders to Singapore are sent as international deliveries and take 5 to 9 working days. A lump-sum shipping and handling fee applies to every overseas delivery and is shown at checkout.

What payment methods can I use?

Customers in Malaysia can pay by FPX online banking, credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard), and supported e-wallets including Touch ‘n Go eWallet, GrabPay and ShopeePay.

FPX and local e-wallets are tied to Malaysian bank and wallet accounts, so if your delivery address is in Singapore, use the payment options displayed at checkout for that address rather than assuming the same list applies.

Can Travocort Cream be delivered to Singapore?

Yes. DoctorOnCall ships to Singapore as an international order dispatched from Malaysia, arriving in 5 to 9 working days with a lump-sum shipping and handling fee.

Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority (HSA) allows personal imports of up to three months’ supply of a medicine for your own use or an immediate family member’s, as long as it contains no controlled drugs, psychotropic substances or prohibited items. Keep the product in its original labelled packaging and keep a copy of your prescription or doctor’s letter with it. Quantities above three months’ supply, and medicines containing controlled substances, require prior HSA approval.

Is Travocort Cream registered with the authorities?

Products listed on DoctorOnCall are registered with Malaysia’s Ministry of Health for supply in Malaysia, and each pack carries its MAL registration number.

An order delivered to Singapore arrives as a personal import of a Malaysia-registered product; HSA product registration is not required for personal-use quantities, but it is also not the same as a product registered for sale in Singapore. If you need a locally registered Singapore product, buy it from a pharmacy in Singapore.

Who do I contact if there is a problem with my order?

DoctorOnCall’s customer care team handles order, delivery and product queries through the contact channels on the site, including WhatsApp and the online help centre.

For deliveries to Singapore, allow more time before chasing an order than you would for a local Malaysian delivery, as the parcel passes through customs clearance and tracking updates can appear later in the journey.

Relevant Information

Travocort Cream combines a potent steroid with an antifungal specifically for short-term use on inflamed fungal infections, and is not intended as a general-purpose antifungal or steroid cream for unrelated skin conditions. Because misdiagnosed or prolonged steroid use can worsen a fungal infection (a phenomenon sometimes called tinea incognito) or cause skin thinning, follow-up with your prescribing doctor through DoctorOnCall is recommended if symptoms do not fully resolve within the expected treatment period, so the diagnosis and treatment plan can be reassessed.
