Adezio 10mg Tablet

Adezio 10mg Tablet contains cetirizine hydrochloride, a second-generation antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergies such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy and watery eyes, and skin itching or hives (urticaria). It works by blocking the action of histamine, a natural substance the body produces during an allergic reaction, providing effective relief from common allergy symptoms with once-daily dosing.

Adezio 10mg Tablet is a non-drowsy or low-drowsiness antihistamine suitable for daytime use in most adults, and is available without a prescription in Malaysia for the short-term or ongoing management of seasonal allergies (hay fever), perennial allergic rhinitis, and chronic hives. As with all antihistamines, individual response to drowsiness can vary, so caution is advised until you know how the medicine affects you.

Cetirizine hydrochloride selectively blocks H1 histamine receptors, preventing histamine from binding and triggering the typical allergic symptoms of sneezing, itching, swelling, and increased mucus production. As a second-generation antihistamine, cetirizine crosses into the brain less readily than older first-generation antihistamines, which generally results in less sedation while still providing effective, long-lasting relief from allergy symptoms for approximately 24 hours per dose.

Take one Adezio 10mg Tablet once daily, with or without food, swallowing the tablet whole with a glass of water. It can be taken at any time of day, but taking it at the same time each day helps maintain consistent symptom control.

Adults and children aged 12 years and above should take one 10mg tablet once daily. Do not exceed one tablet in 24 hours, and consult a pharmacist or doctor before use in children under 12 years of age, the elderly, or those with reduced kidney function, as a lower dose may be needed.

Adezio 10mg Tablet typically has a shelf life of around 24 to 36 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly and unopened; always check the expiry date printed on the packaging before use.

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture, in its original packaging until ready for use. Keep out of reach of children.
