Introduction of Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s

The amount of Sandimmun Neoral 25 mg capsule you take depends on your weight, your medical condition, and what you take it for. Your doctor will plan the wright dosage for you. Do not change your dosage without talking to your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. It's easier to take it, in the same way, every time and at the same time every day to get the maximum benefit. Keep taking these tablets for as long as you've been told, even though you feel good.

Before taking this medication, you can inform your doctor if you have issues with your liver or kidneys, high blood pressure, elevated levels of uric acid in your blood or fits. Also, tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking that can affect the functioning of the medication. This medication can only be used during pregnancy if it is clearly needed. However, it is not recommended during breastfeeding. You will have regular medical tests to monitor the blood pressure, liver and kidney function and mineral levels when taking this medication. The results of the tests can lead to a change in your dosage.

How To Use Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew or crush the capsule. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Many side effects do not need medical attention and disappear as the body responds to the medication. Consult your doctor if they continue or if you are concerned about them

The most common side effects of this medication include headache, unusual growth of facial or body hair, high blood pressure, diarrhoea, and trembling or shaking. Since your immune system is weaker, you can also get more infections than normal. Tell your doctor right away if you have an infection. You should be restricting your exposure to sunlight.

Alcohol Warning (Safe)

There is no interaction between Alcohol and Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s. Hence, it is safe to consume alcohol with Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is limited human studies that have shown adverse effects on the fetus. However, animal studies have shown evidence of fetal reproductive toxicity. It is permissible to use Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s if the benefits balanced off the risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

It is not safe to take Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s whilst breastfeeding as Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s is found to be excreted in human milk.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s may cause headache, convulsion, fatigue and tremor. These side effects could affect your ability to concentrate and drive. Hence, it is not advisable to drive whilst on Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s.

Kidney Warning (High Risk)

Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s should not be used in patients with abnormal kidney function.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)

Dose adjustment of Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule 50s may be needed in patients with liver disease as the metabolism the medication is extensively by the liver.

Quick Tips

Keep on taking it as prescribed.
Your doctor can perform regular blood tests to check blood cell levels in your blood.
Tell your doctor if you have unexplained bruises or bleeding, sore throat, mouth ulcers, fever, or general illness.
Your doctor can monitor your kidney function on a regular basis.
Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day to help the kidney work.
Do not stop taking Sandimmun Neoral Capsule 25 mg without consulting the doctor first.

What If You Forget To Take

If you miss a dose of Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
