Cloderm Shampoo is made from the following ingredient:-
  1. Clobetasol proprionate (0.05%) - It is a form of corticosteroid that helps to relieve itching and inflammation of the skin

How to use Cloderm Shampoo?
  • Apply & leave a thin film onto dry affected scalp once daily for 15 min. Lather and rinse after. 
  • Limit treatment to 4 weeks. The maximum dose should not exceed 50 g per week.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes. Should the shampoo come into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with large amounts of running water. 
  • Do not wet your hair before using Cloderm Shampoo.
  • Do not use Cloderm Shampoo on your face, groin, or underarms..
  • If Cloderm Shampoo gets on any part of your body other than your scalp, rinse the area well with water.
  • Do not consume this product. 
  • Do not cover your scalp with a shower cap or a towel while the Cloderm shampoo is on your scalp. 
  • Apply this shampoo only to affected areas. Do wash your hands after using the shampoo.

Alcohol Warning (Safe)
There is no known interaction of Hoe Cloderm Shampoo with alcohol.

Pregnancy Warning (C)
Hoe Cloderm Shampoo may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal reproduction studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. The benefits from the use of Hoe Cloderm Shampoo in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
Hoe Cloderm Shampoo is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Animals studies showed Hoe Cloderm Shampoo is excreted in the milk of rats. Limited human data suggests that Hoe Cloderm Shampoo does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving Warning (Safe)
Hoe Cloderm Shampoo usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Safe)
Hoe Cloderm Shampoo is safe to be used in patients with kidney impairment.

Liver Warning (Limited information)
Hoe Cloderm Shampoo is generally safe for patients with liver disease.

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

  3. Irritation

  5. Folliculitis
  6. Hypertrichosis
  7. Acneiform eruptions
  8. Hypopigmentation
  9. Maceration of the skin
  10. Secondary infection

  12. Striae & miliaria. 
  13. Symptoms typical of adrenal cortex hyperactivity may occur with large doses (moon face, excessive hair growth, buffalo hump, Cushing’s Syndrome).

While some these symptoms are more common, there are a few rare symptoms that could also occur. Headache, Skin irritation, Numbness of fingers, Burning sensation, Erythema, Skin atrophy, Bulging fontanelles, Bilateral papilloedema, Folliculitis

1. What should I do when I missed a dose of Cloderm Shampoo?

If you have missed a dose by chance, try to use it as soon as possible when you notice. If the time to your next dosage is close, simply skip the medicine. In such cases, try to not double the dosage. 


2. I  think I have accidentally overdosed from the prescribed quantity of Cloderm Shampoo. Do I need to see a doctor?

If you feel that you might have used more than the prescribed quantity of Cloderm Shampoo, please talk to a physician immediately as overdosage more than the prescribed quantity might lead to undesirable side-effects. 


3. Will the use of Cloderm Shampoo affect the child that I am bearing?

It may increase your risk of side-effects from excessive corticosteroid use.
