Regulon is made from the following ingredient:-
  1. Ethinylestradiol (0.03mg)
  2. Desogestrel (0.15mg)
 
The outcome resulted from taking Regulon are subjected to the intention of using it and the appropriate dosage of the medication consumed. It is advisable to take this medication with meal or immediately after eating. The drug should be strictly taken as per prescribed dosage by the doctor.

How to use Regulon?
Swallow the tablet in one go and do not chew it. Consume according to the dose prescribed by your doctor.


  • Patients with kidney problems and liver disease need to consult with a doctor before consuming Regulon.
  • The dosage should be taken as advised by the doctor. Keep enough gap between two dosages.
  • The duration of time for this drug to give an effect is based on the intended use and dosage of medicine consumed. If there is no relief from the symptoms, please talk to a doctor for an alternative solution.


General advice for Regulon:
  • This medication needs prescription.
  • Do not give this medication to someone you feel has a similar symptoms. Similarly, do not consume this medication on the advice from a friend or family. 
  • Please ensure the expiry date on the package or with the pharmacist before purchasing the medication.
  • Make sure to keep Regulon in a room temperature environment and avoid direct exposure to heat & sunlight

  • History during pregnancy of severe pruritus
  • Known or suspected pregnancy

Alcohol Warning (Limited information)
There is no known interaction of Regulon Tablet with alcohol.

Pregnancy Warning (Limited information)
Regulon Tablet is contraindicated in pregnancy. Animal and human studies have revealed positive fetal risk with the use of Regulon Tablet. Regulon Tablet should be immediately stopped if pregnancy occurs. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited information)
Regulon Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Some quantity of Regulon Tablet may be excreted in breast milk hence it may change the quality and composition of the breast milk.

Driving Warning (Limited information)
Regulon Tablet usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Limited information)
Regulon Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease as the drug is excreted through urine. Dose adjustment of Regulon Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Limited information)
Regulon Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease as it may interfere with the liver enzymes. Dose adjustment of Regulon Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

There could be certain side-effects associated with the usage of the Regulon. Please refer to the list below:-
  1. Intermenstrual bleeding
  2. changes in vaginal discharge
  3. vaginal infections
  4. aggravation of endometriosis
  5. Breast tenderness, pain, enlargement, secretion
  6. Nausea
  7. Vomiting
  8. Cholelithiasis
  9. cholestatic jaundice
  10. Thrombosis
  11. hypertension
  12. Chloasma
  13. erythema nodosum
  14. Rash
  15. Headache
  16. Migraine
  17. mood changes
  18. fluid retention
  19. decreased glucose tolerance
  20. changes in body weight

While some these symptoms are more common, there are a few rare symptoms that could also occur. If you are feeling any other symptoms (whether it is mentioned in the above list or not), please consult with a doctor immediately. These symptoms become more prominent as when one is undergoing a long term therapy with this medication.

If you have missed a dose by chance, try to consume it as soon as possible when you notice. If the time to your next dosage is close, simply skip the medicine. In such cases, try to not double the dosage. 


2. I  think I have accidentally overdosed from the prescribed quantity of Regulon. Do I need to see a doctor?

If you feel that you might have used more than the prescribed quantity of Regulon, please talk to a physician immediately as overdosage more than the prescribed quantity might lead to undesirable side-effects. 


3. Will the consumption of Regulon affect the child that I am bearing?
