Overview

Aroxicam 15mg Tablet is a tablet with Meloxicam 15mg declared as its active content. It is supplied in a pack size of 10s.

This is a non-prescription product and can be purchased without a prescription. Only product, safety and handling details are published on this page.

An online consultation with a DoctorOnCall doctor or pharmacist is available for this product, and a registered pharmacist reviews each order before dispatch to Malaysia or Singapore. Follow the directions on the label and on the leaflet inside the pack.

Directions for Use

Take Aroxicam 15mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor following an online consultation with DoctorOnCall, swallowing the tablet whole with a full glass of water, preferably with food to lower the chance of stomach irritation. Do not split, crush, or chew the tablet unless your doctor instructs you to, and continue taking it for as long as your doctor recommends, even if you start to feel better.

Dosage

The 15mg once-daily dose is generally used for rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, or for osteoarthritis that requires stronger control than the 7.5mg dose. Your doctor will decide whether to reduce your dose back to 7.5mg once symptoms are controlled, and the maximum recommended daily dose of meloxicam is 15mg regardless of indication. Never take an extra tablet or increase your dose without your doctor’s advice.

Shelf Life

Aroxicam 15mg Tablet is generally stable for up to 36 months from the date of manufacture when kept sealed and stored correctly. Check the expiry date on the blister strip or carton before every use and discard any unused tablets after this date.

Storage Instructions

Store Aroxicam 15mg Tablet below 30°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, keeping it in its original packaging until it is needed. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Relevant Information

Because Aroxicam 15mg Tablet is the higher-strength meloxicam dose, it is generally reserved for patients whose symptoms are not adequately controlled at 7.5mg, and your doctor will weigh the benefits of stronger symptom relief against the increased risk of gastrointestinal and cardiovascular side effects that comes with higher NSAID doses, especially in elderly patients or those with existing heart or kidney conditions.
